I have zero problem with quirks.  Will the GM be putting quirks on units which do not have listed ones?  Will we have control over the quirks of our "personal" units (except insofar as the canon ones should already apply)?

I was not intending to put them on units that do not have them listed already, for sake of sanity.  If you want to make that list for me, I will be happy to apply these quirks to older TROs.  
The only exceptions are the ones that are dead easy to remember.  Quickdraw having hyperextending actuators, Orion with easy to maintain, etc.
  You know what, that way lies madness.  If somoene wants to come up with a list, we can go that route, otherwise we're just going to go with what the books say directly.

At this time, I am not intending for there to be customization of units, and this includes quirks.  Congratulations, you're a house unit.  You have well upkept factory spec equipment(for the moment).

There's a minimum of four primary Staff roles in a battalion-scale unit.

S-1: Manpower and Command: Mike.  Responsible for making calls on what manpower is available and will be used in a given mission, and overall "decision maker".

S-2: Intel and Information Systems Operation: Dan.  Since he's the XO, and since he works in IT anyway.  Don't ask me what his IG responsibilities would be, though.  Aside from backing up Mike on decisions, of course.

S-3: Operations: Rob.  Responsible for drafting up initial operations orders to fulfill the objectives with the manpower given by the S-1.  Basically, tactical planning (remember that waypoint-based air attack flight plan I designed back during the Battle for Terra?  That.  I don't mind doing this; I find it fun.)

S-4: Logistics: Bryan.  Since he volunteered.
