<fluff forthcoming - you're evaccing civvies with you on your DropShips.  Escort them to the fortified starport.>

SCENARIO:

RULES

1) Battleground: The corridor to the starport is composed of city maps, and is 3x2 mapsheets in area.

2) Deployment:
Objective vehicles will start the game pre-placed.  Star League Forces must begin the game no more than 6 hexes from any given vehicle.  Rim Worlds forces will enter from board edges and must spend MP (any desired) to move onto the board (half-hexes do not count).

3) Moving Targets: Civilians are packed like sardines into a variety of trucks, cars, SUVs, and cargo vehicles.  On average, these vehicles will move 5/8 (with no further bonus for paved roads), and can take 10 points of damage before being destroyed (9 points of “armor” and 1 point of “structure”).  They have an effective piloting skill of 6 (representing the unbalanced nature of their cargo).
Star League units can attempt to screen these units from enemy fire.  If Line of Sight from an enemy unit to a civilian vehicle passes directly through or within 1 hex of a Star League unit, the enemy unit must fire at the Star League unit instead.  Likewise, if a Star League unit is within Line of Sight and is closer than a civilian unit, the enemy must fire on the Star League unit instead.

4) High Pressure Sunset: Wing is a tropical world with a high atmospheric pressure and temperatures.  These combine to make bleeding off waste heat more difficult.  All 'Mech units generate +4 heat for the duration of the game.  Additional heat is NOT generated for units that are immersed in Depth 2 water or which are in Depth 1 water with at least 1 heat sink immersed.

5) Demolition Derby: All buildings are treated as completely destructible in this scenario.  Due to the industrial zoning nature of this area, buildings are built to identical construction standards; all building hexes have 35 CF, regardless of the “type” marked on the mapsheet.  Mechs  which weigh more than 35 tons may jump onto buildings which are marked “Heavy” or “Hardened” as long as the hex upon which they jump has taken no damage.  If the hex they land upon takes any damage while a Mech greater than 35 tons is inside it, the hex will collapse.  PCs are responsible for tracking CF on the 3 “eastern” mapsheets, and NPCs are responsible for tracking CF on the 3 “western” mapsheets.  Basements are randomized as noted in Total Warfare.  It is suggested that players bring copies of Hexpack: Buildings & Roads for the rubble counters.

6) Reinforcements: The forces of the 741st are stiffened by the pitiful remnants of the Star League Embassy Guard.  Two lances of Mechs, led by one Lieutenant Steve Hannay, will assist Echo Company in this scenario.

OBJECTIVES

1) Stand Your Ground: Destroy or cripple the Attacker's force.  Each unit destroyed or crippled gains the Star League 1 Victory Point (VP)
2) Save the Civvies: Each objective vehicle that exits the board or is equal to or within 5 hexes of the objective markers at the end of the game gains the Star League 3 VPs.

RWR OBJECTIVES

1) Destroy the Foe!: Destroy or cripple the Defender's force.  Each unit destroyed or crippled gains the RWR 1 VP.
2) Don’t lead ‘em as much: Destroy the objective vehicles carrying the civilians.  Each objective vehicle destroyed gains the RWR 2 VPs.
3) Full-court Press: Starting with Turn 10, each Turn where you have at least 4 units equal to or closer than 5 hexes from the objective markers and outside a building will net 1 VP.

Radio Broadcast on SLDF Channels, accent is faintly Scottish

"This is Lieutenant Hannay of the 189th Battle Regiment, Special Embassy Detachment.  broadcasting to unidentified Striker Company. I have two lances of mechs and we are looking to gain contact in grid sector Two-Niner-Lima.  Please advise as to hostiles."
