Title: Dan's call after the game (Rose is okay)
Post by: Timberwolfd on October 20, 2018, 09:09:19 PM
For those of you who heard, Dan got a phone call saying that Rose's car had been crushed by a tree. It wasn't clear at the time, but Rose was driving the car at the time and nearly killed. She is physically fine, but rather shaken.

We're both finally home.  More than a little shaken up.  Exhausted mentally and physically.

Oh she was.  Another two feet and instead of that tree hitting the hood it goes through the windshield

Okay, back from DIDNEYWORLD and have settled back in.  For those of you who have sent messages asking how we're doing and checking up on us, thank you.

For those who want a geography marker, it was on Barret about a quarter mile north of Station, she was driving and the winds snapped a few long dead Ash trees.  One of them came down right on the passenger headlamp and basically destroyed everything near it.

So, the good news was that A, no one was hurt, and B that they didn't total the car out (Initial estimate called for about 11k in damages) because the car was so new there was no depreciation value available yet.  We should have it back by the end of the month depending on parts.
