If these contracts are inadequate for the majority, I will extend it for one month and no longer. We should get the ball rolling and bring in some cash.

Honestly there is a serviceable options on this run. B rated fedcom is still somewhat scary since it can be front lineish units or at minimum second line. Would say Chosan is best look starting out though.

CHOSAN is what I was leaning towards as well.

Just to be clear, you have *less* than 24 hours real time to make that decision. I will no longer be in a position to do any GM duties require access to AtB after 8:30pm tomorrow, until Monday the 18th.
Also remember that you guys are only a C-ish rated mercenary unit, and judge the available contracts according.

We're fresh and on the heavier end. I'm also for CHOSAN. It's 100% transport, 80% BLC (far better than people would get selling a mech) and 40% salvage. We get quality ally support. We're not facing elites and B level equipment would be good salvage. The +1 on employer awards after increases the likelihood of walking away with a decent bonus, which would be icing on the cake. Transport cost to the unit is 3.5MM, we'll get paid 16.6MM for it (assuming we're successful) meaning the unit nets 13.1MM and that's just the transport part. I'd try and get the salvage % up if we have a decent chance of doing that. Even if it's non-negotiable, I still think it's the best of the options available.

1 PM is the latest I will gain for an answer, if no other replies by then tomorrow, CHOSAN will be the contract given. I will also force lance configs by then as well if no suggestions are present.

You guys don't have the administrative support to make things negotiable yet.
As well, I'm not sold on CHOSAN for the simple reason that B rated FedCom can include gausswall Mechs, and we don't have a counter for that. If it was C rated, I'd go for it, but B produces most of the high tier FedCom 3050 and 3055 refits, Panthers refits are going to be piloted by good gunners at Veteran level. And it's a planetary assault, so the OPFOR will be weighted toward heavies and assaults.
GEMINI may be the safer pick. The difference between A and B rated equipment isn't that large (the big jumps are F to D, and C to B), the pilots will be worse, and the contract duration is shorter. The rewards aren't so high, but I think we have less chance of blowing things or going bankrupt (remember that we still have to pay for transportation before we get paid), so it may be a better choice to build our reputation and up our Goons rating.

I'm actually torn on that one the big seller is if we were a better unit CHOSAN but Gemini gives A gear with regular opfor with about half the pay but again regular opfor. Its a shorter contract but nets half as much roughly but thats still a good chunk probably plus salvage isn't terrible still. Gemini will hopefully let us end up with money for more parts etc and salvage vs trying to fill a most likely depleted or semi casualty ridden first contract with little cash.
-
Gemini is safer, agreed. We get better allies with Chosan though. Transportation and BLC are both cut in half going to Gemini and salvage drops from 40% to 30%. The risk is higher with Chosan that we end up fielding damaged or 3 mech lances. Parts are actually easier to get with the Planetary Assault (+1 penalty) vs. the Objective Raid (+2 penalty). Chosan is higher risk/higher reward. The question is whether it's a smart risk. My gut says yes, but we didn't do many Planetary Assaults last time.
At the end of the day though... not my call. :)

I would go Gemini over Chosan.

Gemini.

Any thoughts on cartwheel? Usually chances for solos and cache missions
-
I vote Gemini.

Gemini it is then. Unit is now set up for the lances in the TO&E. Since most everyone has the same movement profile, it did not matter much for this first contract. However, due to skill differences, some people will have to tolerate positions for the time being.
