City Suburbs............Desert 3
Deployment
Primary OPFOR: Deploys First, within 8 hexes of the map center, but with no more than 2 units on any one map, and may designate up to 1 Mech and 2 Vehicle units to deploy via Hidden Unit rules.
OPFOR Reinforcements: Enters the board anywhere along the north map edge on their initiative on Turn 8.
Ranger Forces: Enters the board anywhere along the south map edge on their initiative on Turn 1.
Environmental Conditions
Tainted World: All water hexes are considered to be a Class 1 Hazardous Liquid. Each submerged location on a Mech or vehicle suffers 1d6/2 damage whenever a unit enters a hex containing a Hazardous Liquid, or begins the Ground Movement Phase in such a hex. Breach checks are still required; this liquid deals 2 pilot hits/round to a MechWarrior with a Breached Head Location, but does not provoke a consciousness check. Battle Armor takes 1d6/2 damage per trooper per hex entered or per round (as above), but does not require a Breach check. Conventional infantry takes double damage. Finally, Hazardous Liquid mixing and Water Flow rules are NOT in play, as all the liquid on the board is identical.
Battlefield Support
none
Victory Conditions
Rangers
1) Destroy or render incapable of spending MP at least 4 units from the Primary OPFOR
2) Blitzkrieg Lance must remain at 50% strength or better, and the liaison must not be destroyed, rendered incapable of spending MP, or crippled.
OPFOR
1) Destroy, cripple, or render incapable of spending MP, at least 3 Ranger units.
2) Destroy, cripple, or render incapable of spending MP, the liaison unit.
MISCELLANEOUS
1) Exiting the battlefield requires a unit to remain stationary at the board edge for 1 turn. Only a single spent MP is required to move offboard (ie, the environmental MP penalties doesn't apply; or, more specifically, the Minimum Movement rule overrides it). Convoy units may only exit from the southern board edge.
2) OPFOR MechWarriors will attempt to capture any ejected Ranger MechWarriors in this scenario, unless a Ranger BattleMech target in LOF is equally as close (or closer) than the ejected MechWarrior, or the Ranger BattleMech target is within 8 hexes and subject to a valid LOF in any case. OPFOR MechWarriors will attempt to kill any ejected liaison pilots in this scenario; as long as no Ranger units are a valid target within LOF and within 8 hexes of the firing Draconis unit. KIA liaisons can have contract implications later in the Contract.

Fusilier Solo-Blitzkrieg Lance Nov 10 3059 AAR
There were reports of Drac Forces approach our main base, possibly a scouting or probing attempt. Blitzkrieg was tasked with determining the threat of this group and intercepting it. Blitzkrieg Lance and the assigned liaison entered sector 35 from the South. This was a fast engagement. As soon as they entered their sensor started sounding enemy contact. LTSG Maryardi in her Highlander immediately jumped onto a hill into woods to be able to get a good vantage point just East of the town. SGT Petrakis in her T-Bolt, entered between the hills and city. LTJG Smit in his Orion, SGT Patton in his Marauder, and the liaison in a Blackjack, entered the city. Immediately, a Jenner jumped from behind hills towards LTSG Maryardi and got head capped. At the same time the to Drillsons made the mistakes of trying to charge SGT Patton and LTJG Smit. The one trying for LTJG Smit lost control and skidded through a building forcing LTJG Smit to evade it. The Drillson charging the SGT Patton was quickly pill boxed by LTJG Smit. The rest of the Dracs set up firing positions North of the city. This forced Blitzkrieg to advance forward. SGT Petrikas and SGT Patton advanced toward the Grand Dragon with SGT Patton getting the crippling shot while LTSG Maryardi and LTJG Smit advanced to fire on the Mauler. The Gunslinger and Naginata kept raining fire down range. As Blitzkrieg advanced, SGT Patton parked on a hill with his Marauder and used his long range expertise to light up the Dracs. SGT Petrikis was hit by 2 gauss rifle rounds to the center torso (1 internal left) forcing her voluntarily go prone between buildings to get out of line of fire. The fight ended after LTJG Smit dropping the Mauler and the rest of the Dracs looking for the exit. The damage to Bltzkrieg was not major except the T-blot almost being cored and the Orion losing an arm. Blitzkrieg lance found evidence that there was other Drac units in the area but did not enter into the fight.
All in all the 2 Drillsons were pillboxed, Mauler lost a torse with 3 engine crits, Jenner headcapped, and Grand Dragon lost torse with 3 critical hits.
