Title: This week
Post by: agustaaquila on September 01, 2011, 09:51:22 PM
I'm posting here, because I believe we were still clearing the town...

Are we playing this week?  I know that there were some questions about people making labor day plans.

What sheets will we need.  I don't think we were done with AO, but would we transition mid-session, or break out a board game if we finish up?

I know Rob is planning on taking a hiatus from SR while he gets his work situation figured out.

I was planning on finishing the suburb segment and getting you up to the Catskills.

Brent, you gave us "about a week" between the time we got into the walled city and the time the plot resumed.  Here's my time and CDP expenditure breakdown:

Evolutionary Bound 1 (50 CDP), new Core quality Maximum is 40
+2 Intelligence (40 CDP)
+2 Strength (40 CDP)
+2 Conditioning (40 CDP)
+2 Vitality (40 CDP)
+2 Agility (50 CDP)
+2 Charisma (50 CDP)
+1 Detection Skill (10 CDP), to Rank 1
+2 Tactics skill (20 CDP), to Rank 4
+1 Read People Skill (10 CDP), to Rank 3
+1 Rifles/Shotgun Skill (15 CDP), to Rank 9
+1 Manipulation skill (15 CDP), to Rank 7
+2 Inspiration Wielding (60 CDP), to Rank 8
+2 Control Wielding (60 CDP), to Rank 8
TOTAL: 500 CDP

Total time (after 10% Int discount): 33 hrs
Total cost (after 10% Int discount): 1800 T
New Physis Score is 24
New Reaction Score is 20
New Defense Score is 11

No, I'm deliberately not spending all my CDP.

Rob: Approved. Well bargained and done.

Ice: Weekly RPG group with a rotating GM format. My system is Alpha Omega, a post-apocalyptic setting with aliens phenotypically similar to traditional Christian angels and demons. It's pretty much Fallout meets Mad Max with a sprinkling of Snow Crash and Neuromancer.

Ok, here are my proposed character advancement.  I believe there will need to be discussion on at least 1 issue.

Evolutionary bound I  (50 CDP)
STR +2 (35)
AGI +2 (40)
CON +2 (35)
VIT +2 (40)
DIS +2 (40)
Int +2 (30)
CHA +2 (40)
Ascension I (100)  Gain Alpha 3, Creation 3, Light sleeper, Immune I
Skeleton I (50)
Nervous Sys II (40)
Immune Sys II (80)
+3 2 handed melee (30) to 4
+3 grapple (30)  to 4
+2 Pistol/SMG (30) to 9
+2 Technology field (60) to 3

Total Time (after 5% discount) 49.4 hours
Total Trust (after 5% discount) 1900
New Physis 17
New Reaction 17
New Def 9
New shifting pool 30 and regenerate 1 every 12 hrs
HP and Endurance increase as well

160 CDP left

edit: Let me elaborate.  p 133 says lesser grigori cannot access spiritual wielding.  Ascension gives you Spiritual wielding for free.  I cannot reconcile these two statements.  If I cannot access spiritual wielding, would I still get the intention ranks?  See 133 for limits on Grigori wielding, as they are limited to 1 source and 1 intention.

Post here about this week?  Sure, why not.

OK, I know that you had the time for the NERO/Boy Scouts thing changed to Sunday at Friedlander.  Do I need to be ready for an early pickup or anything?  I can throw something together quick if needs be ( I have a shirt, cloak and bracers, and then I can cut the bottom elastic off sweatpants and hem if I have the time), but I need to know to make the necessary arrangements/modifications.

We're still waiting to hear from Eric about what the hell exactly is going on.  One of two things will happen: either we pick you up on the way to Cub World (11am-ish) and we volunteer you as our squire for the afternoon, or we wait until we're done filming, pile in the car ASAP, come back, pick you up, and go straight to game.  The first one will be WAY easier, but I can guarantee you'll have stuff to do the entire afternoon; they evidently want as close to movie-quality costumes as they can get, and (and I'm sorry, man), your rig isn't close to that.  They MAY have stuff you can wear, but we simply don't know.  The second way (picking you up after filming) will mean that we'll get a late start on dinner/game due to drive times - we'd have to come all the way back across Cincinnati from the east side (Cub World is about 3 miles from Brent's house) to get you, and then head all the way back.

What would YOU prefer?

Movie quality rig?  My armour barely qualifies, as it is I'll have to suck it up and bring besagewes.

"As close to"...

But yeah, bring the besagews anyway.  They make good targets.

Well, it sounds like it would be better for you to pick me up early, and I will squire and stay off camera.  I will also work to pull out my A game (which realistically is a C game, but you go with what you have).  I am under no delusion that my stuff is up to par, but overall it looks like it would be better for me to choose door #1.

Rob, do I need to grab steel, latex or "dicksword" for this?  Better data makes me able to grab the necessary gear. Of course due to a maimed forge assistant my new armour probably won't be in this week.

Has Eric answered my question yet on the nerocincy site?  'Cause that's part of what I asked.

My suggestion is to grab EVERYTHING.  It's not an official NERO event, so worst they can do is ask us to put stuff away.  I'm bringing latex, a dozen stage swords, but no straight-up boffers.

Also, I'm pleased to see you've adopted the 4chan nomenclature of "dicksword".  'Tis apropos.

It's the best description thus far. Ultralights being the ultimate in OOG mechanical cheese and deserving of the title. I wonder that the DFW folks would feel about the dicksword descriptor?

I'll haul my latex, bastard and Chen rapier with me.

ok, sent Brent a PM, but shoud bring everyone else in the loop.

I just had to move out of my apartment on <24 hours notice.  this was not a easy or quick process.  Right now, my stuff is piled in a storage place, and I am trying to find a new apartment to move into.  During the mad rush, I misplaced my PCs, and while I might have an idea of where they are, I really have no idea.  So, I am likely to come to game but I do not know if I will have my PCs or not.

ok, so I need to work this weekend, and won't be off work until 5ish.  So I will be running late to the dinner portion of the evening, just as a heads up.

Yes, I now own a car to drive myself there.

Brent,

Reminder that we need the location data on the escort mission (layout, defenses, etc) so we can have ideas ready for the table this weekend.

Also, no baby on my end this Sunday.  Yay!

Feds decided that this was a good week to load me down with station keeping crap. I'll get something together tonight.
