The first 2015 Cincy One-Shot game will be held March 14th at Sci-fi City. I will be GMing the game.
The following dates are going to be our game days through the end of summer:
MARCH 14th - Rob (Burning Fist)
APRIL 11th - Dan (Fall of the Black Watch)
MAY 16th - Timberwolfd (Tokasha Mechworks Defense)
JUNE 20th
JULY 18th
AUGUST 15th or 22nd
SEPTEMBER ??
OCTOBER ??
NOVEMBER ??
DECEMBER ??
Further dates will be announced as we get people to sign up to GM. Due to player request, we're trying not to schedule games within 2 weeks of Origins or GenCon (which are the first week of June and August, respectively), and obviously we can't schedule a game the first weekend of April or July because of Easter and Independence Day.
If you would like to GM a game, please post in this thread with the date you'd like to run a game. If it's an "?? date", please suggest a date in that month which will work best for YOU, the GM. It's up to the players to make it there. Please don't worry about specific scenario details regarding your scenario just yet - we only need to know WHO is running games on WHAT DATE. We don't have to fill up all the dates immediately, but in general we really want to ensure that we've got a GM for each date at least 2 months in advance (so if you want to run an April game, please post ASAP).
This thread is only for signups. GMs, please start your own threads in regards to your chosen scenario/date. Thank you.
If you know you cannot make a game date listed here, please let the appropriate GM know in THEIR GAME THREAD, not this one.
-
I will take April - Fall of The Black Watch
-
I am up for running, waiting to hear back from John and Drew on dates. Probably June, July, or Aug.
-
Drew and I should generally be good for June 20th, July 18th, or August 15th. I'm still getting my summer schedule sorted out, so I won't know which of those will work best for me for another couple months most likely. Also, Drew and I would like to run a scenario sometime this summer (June, July, or August depending on my class schedule). We'll be running a tweaked version of a scenario we tried with some friends in Columbus. Its called Cappies Don't Surf and deals with an entirely non-canon RotS mixed airborne/amphibious assault against a Capellan held beach during the Capellan Crusades of the early 32nd century. As Drew and I don't have very many painted miniatures, any painted RotS or CC minis anyone wants to volunteer would be much appreciated. Any vehicles (especially VTOLs and hovercraft), battle armor, or conventional infantry platoons would also be helpful.
-
I would like to bid a scenario in defence of the May 2nd time slot.
I believe Hell's Horses will find themselves defending Tokasha Mechworks at that time.
-
Signup thread updated.
John/Drew - please let me know ASAP which weekend in particular you're looking at. I understand there's a need to wait until the class schedule is finalized; ideally I'd like to ensure there's 2 months notice at a minimum.
Travis - Noted. Again, finalize ASAP, please.

does anyone want to get together tomorrow and just throw some mechs on the table and play? I have some premade randoms other then gunnery and piloting made

My place in West Chester is available.
-
was out a little before 11 so missed the message until now
-
The tokasha mechworks defense scenario will be may 16th.
Updated OP with new date (^_^)b
-
I got my summer schedule figured out. Drew and I will run our game in July.
-
As a heads-up as we come back from Easter: do we have anyone to run a game in June?
-
I'm working on a playtest for a future Gencon game. I can run it in June if need be.
-
if not I have a grinder king of the hill I can run in june or august as a fun random thing
-
Anyone interested in one scenario being an aerospace game?
-
The June 20th game is Father's Day weekend. Logan and I where wondering if the game could be moved to the weekend before or after (13th or 27th). If not, we will not be able to attend the June game (and we really don't want to miss 2 months in a row if possible).
-
27th is likely heavily preferrable, because of the resultant separation from the Origins Game Fair.
We have Jon and Drew running an event in July, IIRC. After that, would anyone mind if I take the reins for the remainder of the year and maybe run everyone through some historical scenario books? Black Widow, Rolling Thunder, etc? There's plenty of older scenario books that never get touched, and in fairness, we've got a good number of people who don't get their Introtech itch scratched all that often.
Or for a real challenge, we could break out some of the Gray Death Legion scenarios or the Luthien. Stuff like the GDL fighting the Falcons on Sudeten; taking on Clanners using Introtech. Everyone would switch sides each game, obviously - no fair in letting one group of people always get ClanTech...
-
I would like to do the battle of luthien
I had actually planned on doing the scenario at some point with my people once I got through my campaigns
I don't mind intro tech though lots of luck and skill involved
-
The 27th will work for me.
-
So are we changing the day of the game or what? I kind of need to know ASAP since I am the one running it! And I have plans for other weekends taking shape >:(
-
Steve, I think since you are running this game, it is your call. If it is the 20th, so be it. I can do either.
-

I agree with Phil. Steve you have should have final say for this month. If you, the GM, don't want to change the date, then it needs to remain the 20th. Logan and I don't want to miss it :(, but If the 20th is best for the majority, then the game should go on as scheduled. (^_^)b
-
Im good for either the 20th or 27th we need to know a for sure date though.
-
Steve, please confirm the date for us by Thursday, if you don't mind. It's entirely your call.
-
Okay, as of now [2103 hrs, 6/9/15] the game is on 6/27.
I have pm'd Eric about any possible conflicts. If there is any problems, I will let everyone know.
-
Someone at scifi asked paul if we wanted to do battletech that day
-
Branden, don't go trying to change the venue. Steve might have some special mechs with "special" assignments just for you. ;)
-
I was just relaying the info

Sign me up for ALL of this! I'd love to take a trip through those old books. Additionally, those same units could be continued and dropped into the Turning Point series where appropriate.
-
Are we having a game this month? If so, what is the date, there is 2 dates listed for this month.
-
I would prefer the 22nd and know that Brian will not make it if it is on the 15th. He has a conflict with that date.
-
There is a Magic the Gathering event at Sci-fi City on the 15th. Therefore, we're going to HAVE to run on the 22nd.
This means that we're going to have to push Drew and Jon's game back, since they can't make it that day. I'll be running the scenario. Writeup will go up shortly.
-
As Rob indicated, I can't make it on the 22nd due to moving back to West Virginia that day. Good luck smashing up some Regulans OPFOR players.
-
sept 19th is a no go for me can we schedule for a different day. giving as advanced notice
-
Do we have a date for September yet? I need to play some Battletech.
-
Right now it is scheduled for the 19th, we played on the weekend that you could make it in Aug. the 22nd. Where were you?
-
can we do the 26th or 12th for september
gma 70th bday is on the 19th and im being forced to set up a bunch of stuff
-
Is the 19th the official date for Sept.? I don't see a post listing a date.
-
Logan and I can not make it Sept. 19th now.
-
Alright, since we're close and it seems like the 19th was the set upon date, is anyone wanting to run anything specific? If not, do we want to get together for general gaming this day, or just cancel it for this month? I can bring down Armada and a few other board/skimrish type games. I wouldn't mind trying a demo of xwing.
-
I wont be able to make it the 19th as well. Im good either 9/12 or 9/26
-
Guys, I was in a head-on collision on Friday after work. A lady came around a corner and lost control and ran right into me. I'm fine, as in all in one piece, but in pain. Not sure when I'm going back to work, and currently without a vehicle as well (although her insurance should be paying for a rental car soon).
With all that, I doubt I can make it to BT on Saturday. Very sorry, was really looking forward to it. :(

Red car is mine, sitting in the proper lane... 20 foot drop over that guard-rail btw.
-
That looks nasty. No worries. Hope everything goes well.
-
That is a legit reason to miss a game...take care of yourself. Seriously.
I won't be there this weekend. Supervising a major infrastructure refit at work.
-
oh shit man glad your ok
-
Been there, done that. Glad to hear you are OK.
My grand daughters decided to have something this Sat. for grandma. Her birthday is coming up. Won't be able to make it. See you all next month.
-
Glad you're ok.
It sounds like a lot of us are unavailable for this Sat (Sept 19). Logan and I are available for next week the 26th if anyone wants to get together and play. If so, and no one else has something they want to run, I have some of the old campaign books. Logan and I could try to throw something together for that day.
-
Im available 26th as well I was hoping people would want to get together and drop random stuff or a random one off. I will have a campaign at some point now that I will have some actual time to work on it again.
-
I believe Saturday Sept 26th is Scifi City's demo day. Steve and I talked at work about doing a grinder, so if anyone else is interested in joining, it would be easy to add them.
The plan for the grinder would be for everyone from our group who wants to come play, to bring 2-3 cannon mechs (record sheet and mech) in each weight class (light, medium, heavy, and assault). This way we have plenty if others show up or want to join in the game, and so not one person is trying do it all on short notice.
The mechs can be inner sphere and/or clan, from totally crappy to totally awesome.
Mech pilots will be 3g 4p.
We would randomly roll for which mech each of us would play (so you may not be playing the one that you brought ;)).
Maps will probably be randomly rolled if we have someone with a lot of maps show up (I have a very limited amount :()
If you don't have the mech piece you want to bring we can always proxy it. Also, if you don't have access to print your mechs, let me know and I can print them for you.
-
im in I have plenty of stuff to bring

Let's get started on selecting our October, November and December.

Oct. 17th
Oct. 24th
Oct. 31st - Halloween

-
The middle of the month is generally the best for me, considering the holidays coming up. I think Rob is working on getting a campaign going. Refer to the thread "Future of Cincy BT". You can have your say on what you would like to see in a new campaign. If the campaign starts, it could effect the coming months.

I would like to playtest the LAM factory game again. If everyone would help with this, I would be very grateful. Early Nov or Dec would be fine with me.

Can you pull it off as an October game? I will not be able to have any Saturdays free after the 10th, and I can't put something together that fast, I think. If you would run it on the 10th, we'd be good.
My initial thoughts for other games are November 14th and December 5th, which gets us done well before the X-mas break and avoids Thanskgiving. I know I'm out November 7th (another game already scheduled) and December 12th (we're gone celebrating our 10th anniversary).
-
I should be good for gaming on the 10th.
-
Sounds like a plan. Okay, 10/10, Irece had a Little LAM, Pt Deux.
-
Do we need to play with an outrageous french accent?
-
A personal emergency has come up for this Saturday, and I will be unable to make it. My apologies.
-
I will not be able to come down this weekend, hockey opening game is Friday night. Hope everyone has fun!
-
So, when do we have the November game? 14th or 21st?
-
November is bad for me. My older two will be playing in a soccer tournament on Saturday and hopefully Sunday the first weekend. My youngest's team is likely going to State which would be the following two weekends (14th & 21st). Family stuff over Thanksgiving weekend. My best day is likely December 5th.
With a sweep of his...
Hat
-
So what is the game going to be for November, and is there any preference between the 14th and the 21st? Just need to have the date nailed down soonish for Thanksgiving time off sorting out.
-
I think Nov 14 might be better (even though that is when our baby is due ;D), and so we can maybe have an earlier date in Dec. This can possibly help avoid running into holiday events.
-
November 14th, folks. That makes a December 5th game feasible.
Travis, if you're interested in doing this one, say the word and the 14th is yours.
-
The 14th should work for me. Would the people that show up on that day be rolling for stars, or is it to early to get into that.
-
Yup, I'll run the game on the 14th. Hat's out, Dan's a maybe. Anyone else definitely out that day?
-
I am extremely unlikely as that is the last week of my infinity league.
-
almost certainly out. Better than even chance I'll be in Lexington that day working.
-
My sons and I want to be there but will depend on when their baby sister is born. She is actual due that day but we believe she will be born sooner. I will keep you posted as we get closer to game day.
-
I should be good. *Crosses fingers*
-
I'll be there. (^_^)b
-
Logan and I will not be able to come Nov 14. Logan's baby sister was born Thur and has had some minor medical issues. She will be in hospital until Fri. Hope you all have a fun day. Hopefully we will make the Dec game. Is it set for Dec 5th? That is about the only weekend we have a chance of making in Dec.
-
Congrats, Mike. I hope the issues are not serious.
-
Second for Dec. 5th.
