Forgot to point this out. If any Rangers who are currently here were on Somerset the first time, they will recognize the cockpit markings as those of the Devastator driven by "Michael Kylie" (later revealed to be one Andrew Steiner), when he was shot out of the cockpit and badly scarred across the face, from an incredibly skilled/lucky max-range AC/2 cockpit critical from a pirate Vulcan, during an Operation KESTREL engagement on 12/22/3048.  The replacement components for the Devastator hadn't arrived by the time of the Jade Falcon invasion, and he was forced to pilot a WLF-1 Wolfhound during the battle of Somerset Academy.

Does this Rifleman have any regiment/company markings on it?
