I'm debating on taking the stalker or longbow

I'd need to sell a mech obviously and I'm at around 5 mil already so I would need to sell multiple if I do the stalker

Not sure of what likely would be dropped at this point

The treb and phawk are likely chopping block material

Any thoughts?

8D Dervish would be so much better with all of the Endo slots being in the arms vice the 7D where it is in the torsos. For me to get the weight out of it, I would have to up the engine to ensure it can carry enough DHS if needed on top of making sure I have ample slots for weapons. Plus even if I removed all ammo, I would still be stuck with CASE that would be pointless. May have to sit on that and possibly buy two mechs (Vulcan and Shadow Hawk) instead of one to better my lance. Not that I would be able to put an XL into any mech I buy currently anyway. No matter what I do, this would end up being more of a sacrifice on Gonzalos end since he is retiring after contract.

Either choice is kind of meh. Between them, I would go Longbow, since it isn't overcosted by 40%. The -0W is the faster variant (4/6) with reduced secondary armament and 5+ tons less armor. The first thing I would do is rip out the LRM-5s and put armor on it again and find some tonnage for medium lasers. But that's me.  

The question of which mech to sell comes down to intended lance role. If you want to be a fire support lance, sell the Phoenix Hawk. If you are planning for the Longbow to take over the fire support role from the Trebuchet, then sell it.

Only reason I'm contemplating even picking the longbow up is I have that assault pilot who I could just use in a fire support role since he's 3/5 or I could reclassify him which would mean he would need to get Xp from group votes or combat

If I did get it was thinking of dropping the 20s and 5s for 2 15s then up armor  and with time xl and add 2 ll 2ml case and 3 tons ammo with jj

But requires I use last xl for it and get more parts and have time etc so idk maybe I'll just reclassify him

Then you are probably better off starting with the Stalker, other than cost.

i dont know if its really worth it to get it now looking at it considering i have mainly medium pilots

Not yet. A lot of people don't check the boards that often. I said it would be resolved on the 20th to give everyone time to respond.

I'm still debating on the longbow but honestly it's not a priority considering my lance is more of a medium/heavy direct fire support
