Do those numbers include the jump point to landing time? Some planets are over a month from the jump point. Also MM has some large differences in stars compared to other sources. It has caused a few reconsiderations in the past.

I hadn't seen Rob's post.

The presence of a factory on planet is just a binary factor. If there is a factory, there will be additional "factory line" units available. It always seems to be the same approximate number though. Prices are near universally in the 100 to 110 percent range from what I've seen. So no deals but fewer wasted  and pointless offers.

I believe the price modifier is blanket, not based on any kind of intelligent market application. I will be happy to be proven wrong on that though.

My most recent response is in the Salvage thread. FWIW, I’m on my phone during the day so expect shorter responses generally between say 7 and 4.

Getting ready to take off myself, so I'll be incommunicado for a while.

Ok, I took another look at Sudeten. Not only is it the shortest reasonable distance, it produces both mechs and dropships, including Overlords. Destination set and submitted.

Rob: I'm figuring 7 jumps from Somerset to Sudeten.  If that's wrong please let me know so I can update the expenses accordingly.

8 jumps.  AtB automatically routed you around an ongoing Falcon invasion force (as near as I can tell; AtB always gives you the most direct route you're "allowed" to take, so there's a reason why this bounced you over to Wotan first).

The 8 jumps are listed in order in this post: http://forums.cincybattletech.com/index.php?topic=1161.msg19506#msg19506
