How to divide players for the next campaign
« on: June 17, 2013, 11:01:31 PM »

We need to start deciding how to divide up for the next campaign.  So here are my rules for dividing up

1) By agreeing to PC in one campaign, you agree NPC the other campaign.  Failure to attend 2 of your assigned NPC sessions may result in your PC role in a campaign being lost.

2)  Darrian Wolffe, by virtue of GMing more than the last year, gets his choice of campaign.

3)  Players will be divided via the following system.  At a posted and predetermined time, a thread will be opened for players to state their choice of campaign.  The first X players, where x represents 1/2 of the group, to state a choice of a campaign will get the campaign.  In the event that more than X players express a choice of the same campaign, the first X players determined by the time stamp in the forum will get the role of a PC in that campaign.

Any comments, criticism, or suggestions.  We need to get this done before GenCon, so people can gets mechs if need be.

As I recall, John is only able to attend every other session because he'll be driving in from West Virginia.  I'm willing to give him an exception to the requirement to NPC the other venue.

Second, I'd look for a more voluntary solution than sign up if we can handle it.  If you work with Strong Preference for or Neutral, see where we net out first and then see if we need to make adjustments.

If for some reason there isn't sufficient interest in one of the games as defined once the rules are laid out we can look at whether the campaign rules need to be tweaked to find a better balance or maybe one of the ideas gets changed.

Hat, do you have the list of which players wanted to play in which campaign?

I'm just posting to confirm that I'm interested in participating in Travis's campaign.

I would as well, but I'd like to wait to hear where Brent/Brett want to go and if they want to play together.
