Rob explicitly forbade transfers between lances of gear, parts, mechs, Christmas cards, cigarettes, etc. Something about everyone playing their own lance. Basically to ensure everyone plays their own force and to prevent fights about things like "I loaned you that mech, loaned, not gave. You owe me money now."

I remember Lucky Strike Wars.  We were lucky to get out of that with reduced lung capacity

The only saving grace was that they were menthols.
