Iron Cheetah Kitbash - Painted at Last!
« on: September 06, 2010, 12:14:00 AM »

I'm proud to be able to post the first for-pay commission I've done for a member of the CBT boards who's NOT part of the Cincinnati Battlegroup!

The cool part about this mini was that it was requested to be in two actual schemes.  To whit:

So, away with the pics:

The mini will ship out Tuesday due to the holiday, but when I realized that I could post the followup to the original thread perfectly in line with the commentary therein, I couldn't help but put it up here to share.  I'm certain that there's a mailbox somewhere that's going to be watched intensely sometime around Thursday.  ;)

Very sharp, I like the little X over the GB insignia on the arm.

Is that an AMS on the left shoulder?

Nice job.  What's the fake ice made from?

It looks like Woodland Scenics snow.

Yup, that. I'm not actually sure I like the stuff - it takes several layers to look like "snow", and even then the granules are pretty big.  But it worked for this purpose, and my photo layout, so I'll live.  Plus I've got one of those huge canisters of it, so I may as well use it occasionally, yeah?

Rob, I used some the other day. I found if you put the glue on in a very thin layer, it will not look like ice. Instead it will look like snow.
