OK, so it's looking like people are wanting games to resume, soon-ish.
Here's the thing. We cannot play in someone's house. Enough people have contacted me otherwise, and therefore we will *not* be playing in a personal dwelling for the foreseeable future.
As such, we need a place to host games. I was planning on scheduling game dates with Time Warp Games, but I just got off the phone with them, and they have re-closed their play space and do not plan on it to re-open during the summer months, at least. I am therefore asking people to look around and do some research and see if there's a place available for game dates. The requirements:
1) It must be sufficiently large enough that, with 10 players, each person can reasonably back away from the table and have ~3 feet of space around them. The Mason library is a good guideline for the smallest space.
2) It must allow food & drink.
3) Food, drink, chairs, and restrooms must be easily accessible.
4) It must actually be open.
5) It needs to be within or immediately outside the 275 beltway, in Ohio. It is unreasonable to expect our Dayton people to drive to 3 Brothers Games in Hebron, and likewise it is unreasonable to expect me to drive to Dayton.
Note that I am NOT requiring the space to be "free". If we have to start bringing some money to pay for play space, then that is another inconvenience of Covid. With that said, a space rental fee of more than $200 (which is roughly $20/person for our usual attendance) is too high.
I would like to resume games on either the 25th of July, or the 11th of August, so ask regarding reservations on those dates. I will be out of town on August 1st dealing with my late father-in-law's estate, and sooner than the 25th is going to be too quick, I think.
Go.
