Because some of us have wives that don't quite understand what all the fuss is about moving little toys around a table. They also have demands that must be met or you will wish like hell that you had taken care of that "honeydo" list.  ;)

Availability of players, GM's, table space, needing time to write the stuff, and every so often we just need a little bit of downtime.

Ya i guess i can understand the wives and down time as well as work and stuff but i mean it wouldnt be bad for anyone that would want to play on a saturday to go up and play at sci fi just for the fun of it like own made campaigns or something outside of the others just to have something to do in between the waits and boredom... I have for a very long time loved mechwarrior prolly not as long as some of you guys i mean its been around as many years as i been alive but ever since i picked up the mechwarrior game for super nintendo and around that time or earlier i picked up and still have my warhammer 6 in figure and even more so after i played mw3 i had to keep goin with mw2 mercs and mw4 and so on i never got to really play the board game until just this last origins and gencon its something i have always wanted to do since i knew there was a board game and i only found that out my sophmore year in high school..... so not to rant just wanted to do play as much as possible while i can :)  and for those who do not know which person Ice is it is brandon lol

Some of the guys will get together and hold a grinder or just a pick up game. Something like bring a lance, 1 light, 1 med., 1 hvy., and 1 assault. Your choice and blast away. Just post something up, usually try and give a little lead time. Some of the guys may come out. Especially if you know some guys that might be interested in the game, just never have played yet.

that would be cool i dont have every saturday off either so i understand that as well but i guess maybe start a thread specifically for pick up games? Also im not sure if i have any buddies who want to play anymore most are out drinking or moved on from battletech. Also I dont really have alot of mechs there are some good ones yes but some are also not put together and none of mine are painted not sure if that matters

I can usualy be talked into running something on any given weekend.  This weekend is a bit too short of notice though.  Now that we are out of Con season, we can probably try to get back to an every other week schedule, running either the campaign or a small scenario/grinder type thing, or Leviathans or whatever, if there is interest.

doesnt sound to bad every other week gives a cool off period i guess as well as time for ppl to make arrangements if needed or possible and i know nothing about leviathons and im still tryin to learn battletech lol although some of the figures are crazy big
