Edit- Maddyfishes scratch build thread
« on: August 19, 2010, 02:18:02 PM »

EDIT- I build alot of scratch builds, some good, most bad. I am going to post them in this thread. I try out just about every idea of which I read, so here goes.

Seems silly given the wonderful painters that we are blessed with here in nKy./Cincy, that the first post here would be from me, but here it is.

I constructed these turrets for a game and am quite pleased with how they turned out.  They of course are available for group use anytime anybody wants them.

I used these as AC20 turrets, so I'd say the Hussar is in real trouble in this pic.

Well, its a hussar so its in trouble as long as its on the field.  His only hope is that everyone decides to save ammo by not opening fire.

Great job on the turrets.

Thank you. They turned out pretty decent for a quick little project. The pics don't really show the paint very well, but they are painted to be well worn and rusty.

Alot of these most of you have already seen, so I will post group pics of several. But some, like the latest helicopters have not been seen yet.

This lance is mostly scratch built from a group of 'WarBots' to represent a Longbow, Tbolt, Archer, and Warhammer. They are about 1/2 size of a normal mini

These 2 hovercraft are constructed of pink eraser, these were the first scratchbuilds I did.

Here are my new series BSG raiders, sheet plastic and pink eraser are featured here.

Here is my TIE fighter, sculpty for the center and sheet plastic for the wings.

These are pretty bad, but it gets better, these are my first 2 attempts at a VTOL, again pink eraser and sheet plastic are used in their construction.

The next 2 are my latest scratch builds, and they turned out pretty decent. I'm getting better!

This was supposed to replicate a McDonald Douglas MD-500 and it is pretty close.

These are constructed using sheet plastic and a sheet style sandwich construction. Basically like the VTOL post on the CBT  mini forum.

I have a Wasp LAM and Stinger LAM from when I played in the old days-well at least parts of a Wasp LAM and most of a Stinger LAM, but thats for another thread. But I don't have a Phoenix Hawk. This is my attempt at Airmech and fighter mode PH

Here are a lance of just generic mechs, the bigger quad is supposed to be a Goliath, other than that they are so inaccurate that what they are is up for debate. The nice thing about the quads is that they fit into a hex, unlike many quad minis.

My next preject?  Tonbo

Mechwarrior Spruill was not impressed. He ordered Finley the tech to repair his machine gun whatever it takes, but stealing parts from crashed 1000 year old Terran flying craft was not exactly what he meant. He knew there was a shortage of replacement parts since the Invaders began their defiling invasion of Terra, but this was ridiculous.
