Only if I disassemble the 3770K machine, and that would be its primary/OS drive. That would defeat the purpose.
Also, keep in mind that unless you are doing sustained writes, like transferring large files (video), the write speed isnt a huge problem.
An SSDs big advantage is ridiculously low seek times. A 3.5 inch 7200 RPM HDD, the most common desktop hard drive configuration, takes between 11 and 15 milliseconds to find a file before beginning transfer (or writing). An SSD, even one as long in the tooth as an X-25M, has a seek time of about 0.1 milliseconds. That means that for cases of many small files, like during boot up and program loading, the SSD has opened the file before the HDD can find it. Another key point is that until the SSD is about 85% full, you will continue to get 100 MB/s. An HDD slows down as you fill it up, because the disk is effectively moving slower the closer to the inside edge you get. So it is quite possible/likely you could see better performance even though writes are only 100 MB/s.
Another point to consider is that unless you are reinstalling your entire operating system, you wouldn't be running your operating system off of the SSD. I assume you would use it as a game install drive for steam or stand alone installs. In that case the only time the write speed would come into play would be during game install. So, as long as you play games more than you install them...
