Is there even a need to make a salvage sheet for this?

That would be my thought. BSP we bring gets matched on their side. With the free air cover, no artillery and rules against bombing that would mean their aerospace forces get at least strafe attacks on ground units as soon as Zell is broken, potentially before if they target single mechs. I don’t see that as good for us.

Fair enough. How do we know that Zell is actually initiated, or at the very least when?

For the PCs it doesn’t matter. We have to operate as if we have no concept of Zell. We regularly combine fire to take down targets. We still need to do that. We as players can’t simply forget Zell exists, but we can certainly keep to our standard tactics on the battlefield. If they specifically call us out, I guess we’ll see. Kato has honorable, but that simply means if he accepts a challenge he’d honor it, not that he has to accept.

agreed the whole concept of zell at this point would be unknown except by the units that have fought prior and thats only if they wouldve passed the information along. Considering we were given the you are not getting gun cam footage or any real intel from the unit I would argue they have been told to keep their mouths shut until command says otherwise

Arty both smoke and HE is okay to bring.

We should have some idea about how the whole zell thing works, since the 8th Arcturan landed. Presumably they told us these big bad ass pirates behaved really weirdly and so on.

The BSP the clans have is the 8 air cover. It say the match PC BSP. But on the other hand the air cover can target the artillary.

Again, I’m not sure we net equal or ahead on bringing BSP to this mission. How is it to our advantage?

To a certain extent in terms of Zell, who knows how fast Zell was broken given sheer numbers. Once broken in the first engagement, there’s nothing to say CJF ever went back to it.

Would it hurt to just bring air cover then?
All it says we may choose any number of BSP and they get 4 of each air cover free of charge. Mentions nothing of equal to or less than or anything. May be impossible to know.

What benefit does air cover gain us?  Our fighters are going to be even more outclassed in the air than our mechs are on the ground.  If there’s a good reason to bring them, that’s fine.  You’re the CO on the ground, ultimately your call.
