Note for the GM, that dropship has capital weapons installed and apparently is not available until 3058.

Assuming we were to get BSP, I'm hoping our artillery rounds can enter the board on the same turn that we do  ;D

The challenge with BSP and artillery is that we’d likely be looking at strafes, bombs and attacks that we couldn’t block in return.

Fuck, I was not paying attention to the DropShip at ALL. All I noticed was "Overlord".

Consider it the Overlord Upgrade, not the A3.  Fucking AtB, I swear.

Yeah, you should either bet on large values of BSP available for both sides, or functionally none either way.

Also, given that everyone should be here in November, probably 2 lances of reinforcements.  The Dynamic Scenario Templates in AtB that I loaded in during the last update don't seem to follow all of the same rules as standard scenarios, and I'm going through documentation trying to find out everything I can about the specific places in which they differ.  There was a Dynamic Mission that came up earlier (a Mission 2 option which was discarded) that limited reinforcements by characteristic, instead of simply by TO&E organizational slot, and that concerns me.

Reroll terrain please.

1 reroll used

Wetlands
Lake-marsh

In the interests of saving time, I feel that you'd probably spend another reroll.  2 rerolls used.

Flatlands
Some-trees

3 rerolls remaining.

Ok, I think the setup looks good, so let’s go with it. Two thoughts on reinforcements.

1. Ice never got to play a mission as a deployed lance. Neither had Midnight or Devil and I thought it was the same. My bad. I understand Skaraborg is deployed, are you ok with Ice getting an initial placement?

2. As for bringing 2 lances of reinforcements, I guess that’s your call. By rules with a strategy of only 4, max deployed PC lances is 4 rather than 5. We do have a full lance of FedCom and I could look to deploy vehicles. Your call and I understand why, just wanted to be honest about my character’s limitations.

On a related note, if we deploy vehicles at the same time as mech lances do we have the option to use the PC lance commander’s strategy to speed up their deployment?

If Skaraborg is slotted in then hes in. If you want me as reinforce then thats fine too. I just spent xp on strategy so its not as big a difference. Also it appears the ATB has changed rules on us and Rob was making a call to push for a 2nd lance because of it. As he said there will be some revamps of stuff due to game mechanic changes.

Ice got an initial placement as a deployed lance. You failed the mission.  Same way that Skaraborg and Bright and Reaper have all had solos, even though they declined them.

You are also assuming this is the last mission of the contract.

I see route in there vs defeat destroy. I guess if it doesn't say end contract early it won't?

Also yes I technically slotted and its not like I haven't used my forces in the contract.

No. I’m not assuming last mission of the contract. I would expect every lance is deployed once before a PC gets a 2nd opportunity to be deployed as a primary on a mission.  Even with additional missions, ATB considers them as having been deployed. No XP, no opportunity for salvage, etc.  There’s a chance Ice doesn’t get deployed. At a minimum, because of my screw up, he wouldn’t have a shot at a second.  I understand if there is another mission, you will likely not penalize him for my mistake.  That doesn’t mean he and Devil don’t still take the hit for it.

Ok.  I'd like the reinforcements question clarified before I finalize on who that 1 or 2 reinforcements will be.  If that will be a day of decision, I'll plan for both options and let folks know in advance who should come prepared.  For now, no plans.  In case I didn't say it, generate the mission.
