Gentlemen, the common cold has struck again.  I have stuffy head/runny nose.  I would like to come to game but perhaps it is better that I sit this one out.....

My family has had colds and allergies since the weekend. We seem to be on the feeling better and only seasonal allergy side. If anyone has concerns about us being at the game Saturday let us know and we could wear masks or postpone the game a month.

Colds and allergies are going to happen.  At this point I expect everyone who plans to get vaccinated has, and those that plan not to haven't.  People should use common sense - if you're running a notable fever and are feeling lousy, don't show up, but for colds and allergies and the like, meh.  So at least for Ryan and I, we're fine with you attending based on what you've all shared.

For me, unless you have serious symptoms, I would not worry too much about it.

Ah!  THERE'S the ASF ejection rules! StratOps, pg 26.

OK, so the pilot of a crashing ASF cannot even attempt to eject.  The Crashing section of TW, p82 doesn't allow it, nor does the lawn dart rules itself on TW pg 249 (mostly because the ejection rules weren't written when they published TW).  The Ejection rules on TacOps pgs 196-199 only cover Mechs, Combat Vees, and Naval Vessels.  Full ASF ejection rules are in StratOps pg 26, and while they say that you should use the modifiers for Mechs in TacOps, they also say that ejecting requires the full Movement phase instead of any other action.  In the cases where you use Auto-eject, StratOps takes pains to say that it works just like a Mech, including the triggers for it, which means that we reference back to TacOps p196 to find that crashing/falling doesn't trigger an auto-eject; only an ammo explosion does.

Thusly, CPO Slagboom's brief career comes to an end in a fireball on a dusty Periphery planet, unless someone else finds a rules cite that lets the pilot of a crashing ASF actually eject in a phase other than the Movement Phase or as a result of an ammo explosion.

I mean, with a name like that....
