1 or 2 reinforcement lances as desired; if there is currently no infantry/BA assigned to Fire, that may be assigned at this time.

30x35 map is a 2x2 map, turned longways:

Also, thought standard infantry were limited to being on base for base defense missions?

Also, not seeing a record sheet for our anti mech jump infantry with blazer.

Right, so normally you have to assign units on a weekly basis.  The problem with doing that is that a mission which comes up like this comes at you with LESS than a week remaining (so you can't - technically - shift units around), and without being able to use infantry or BA it's an auto-loss, and that's shitty game management.  So I'm allowing you to freely shift units around prior to this game in order to make the objectives work.  The general campaign rules will remain the same, but when a mission like this comes up where it's an auto-loss if you don't have a specific unit type, I'll be more flexible about unit assignments.

Also, that probably means that the local CO should consider how he's planning to get infantry/BA to the building.  Right now, AFAIK, you have a Maxim available, and BA can ride on OmniMechs.  That second point might influence reinforcement choices.

Finally, the 3rd Ueda Jump Infantry template is from TRO 3085, but there might not be a canon record sheet.  As such, it's literally a 21 man jump platoon which deals 14 damage at max strength (13 from the blazers, 1 from the single heavy support laser), and loses 0.590 damage per man killed (rounding up); 1 foot or 3 jump MP, no additional armor divisor, and has a short range of 2 hexes, medium range of 4 hexes, and a long range of 6 hexes.  That should be enough for a hand-built sheet.

There is a record sheet in MML for Ueda. Wanted to make sure that was the correct one.

No reason for me to not assign the anti mech jump units in this regard. Will be added to Delta and record sheet for them is printed.

Well being as we have battle armor and omnis we have some work arounds.

Also reroll the map. I assume it won't change map size.

There is a question regarding c3m. If reinforcements both have it can they link. Both are off board and the arguement would be they are already in waiting and together. No other units on our side have c3. Only they get the benefit and its only after x turns. Would seem silly that they wouldn't be able too.

Edit - Not seeing anything restricting at this point for reinforcement lances to build their own c3 before entry as long as its determined before game.

Tw 131-134
Multiple networks: If multiple c3 networks are established at the start of the game and they are not designated as connected before play begins, they can never share targeting information during the scenario, regardless of destroyed units.

MASC applies to reinforcement time? I know we had this discussion before, but it is not labeled in rules so wanted clarification.

Sadly, the maxim is no good, given it only has 3 tons of infantry space. IS BA is 4 tons, the Ueda is also 4 tons. Elementals are there too somewhere... Also not sure the max limit for tanks/infantry/BA that can be assigned to one lance either.

Time for some RP

COL Mayer to CPT Inei
You are granted authorization the use all BA and infantry we currently have on hand to retrieve the package. Lets keep losses to a minimum if able. Get in and get out. Lets hit these bastards hard to cripple them for our upcoming descent off planet. All personnel going out on the field, protect the VIP at all cost, but do not play hero.

Acknowledged  Colonel awaiting AO imaging data now to prep briefing. Expect heavy WOB forces based on current patrol data reported from our BA.

Will relay and recall Blitzkrieg, Norbotten from patrol.

Recommend placing yourself, Foil, Ironside on ready alert pending mapping. Probable sortie list Lancer, Foil , with additional sector patrol and OP Ironside.

I've already ordered Delta armor and additional BA deployed to secure and eventually support.

- (Depending on mapping and additional variables Ironside may slot for Foil)

---- So in this case knowing we need to transport these BA we can't have them just ride the omnis in as far as between Fire and Norbotten?

OMFG, Catalyst has completely wrecked infantry.  I didn't realize how far.  The Maxim basically can't do it's job whatsoever, because even basic Rifle platoons are 4+ tons now, and all of the Maxim variants with enough cargo space to do anything are post-3060.  All right, so a couple of things:

1) for purposes of this mission, the Maxim can transport your Ueda infantry.  I don't even know why they're 6 tons of transport space (yes, *6*, as per TRO 3085 pg 209)); it's 21 jump infantry with blazer rifles and 1 goddamn support weapon.  They don't even have heavy armor. Where the hell is the mass coming from?  They take the same effort to kill and deal less damage than a Jump SRM platoon.  This made a lot more sense when foot/motorized/jump infantry weighed 3 tons flat for a full platoon - note that's what the Maxim was designed around.

1a) If you guys want, I will arbitrarily upgrade all unit Maxims to the BA transport model which gives you 4 tons of transport space, because this is stupid.

2) Brandon, I want to talk to you today to ask about the C3 situation.  Your post isn't giving me enough data to make a call, and it'll just be faster if I can talk to you.

3) A unit with MASC counts as being equipped with JJ's for purposes of reinforcement time.  As do LAMs (there was a question from Steve about LAMs and reinforcement times; this should cover that).

I can answer 2 for you. He was considering Taelor and myself to come in as reinforcements. Was asking how connections work. TW has it stated for company connects as "Prior to start of game," but I still feel prudent to have reinforcement separate from starting units in this regard, not that it matters for this since Delta has no C3 lance at this time.

Thanks for answering question about MASC as well.

There is an issue which this does not answer.  Specifically, the issue of using C3 nets BETWEEN COMPANIES OF THE UNIT.

Forgot about that as well. Guess that would be your call.

Also, do not believe there's a difference between factory and field upgrade for Maxim, so the factory would be a fine change. Will update docs after walk.

Got vet appointment at 9 and should be good at 10 but it may not be needed. Basically to make it easier to understand Foil and Lancer are c3m with same arrival time based on conversations with them. TW simply states that if its declared before start of game they can share c3. I added it more as an edit to answer my own question. I would assume further that reinforcement couldn't share with primary forces but should be fine with reinforcement.
