PC signups end by March 6th (1st round) + Mini issues

So we have time to do things like "elect PCs into unit positions" and so forth (necessary because officer stats affect the ability to hire skills supplementary staff like Techs), I'm closing PC signups on March 6th.  Whomever has created a PC and a Lance will be "in the unit" for the first contract.  Remember, the first game of the campaign is still March 25th, so we have a finite amount of time to get this arranged.

If you miss the signup, you can still create a PC and a lance and join the unit at a later time, but PC's and lances will only formally be added to the unit between contracts (otherwise the maths for personnel pay get *badly* fucked up). Contracts generally go ~3-5 missions.  The first contract will be guaranteed to be short: 2 missions tops, so at *worst* you'll be a full unit member for the May game.

Finally, because people are running small forces, we're asking people not to proxy their lance minis.  Bryan and I will be putting an IWM run together in early March.  Additionally, because this color scheme paints up very quickly, I personally will be willing to do any painting/basing for people for a total of $5/mini.  So if you have Bryan/me grab your minis from IWM, $20 gets you a painted and based lance.  If I can con custom decals out of Brent, I'll also include decals on your Mechs.

I'll need to get minis for the whole lance. Sign me up for the Ironwind run and paint job. That Shadow Hawk is so going to get modded to hell... If it lives that long...

If you're creating a PC, you have until midnight tonight to have a thread started, and you have until Sunday to have your PC and force completely generated.

I'm running a regional workshop this weekend and I'm having to write 3 more class syllabi than I thought I was, so my time to actually do force creation will be limited.  I'm doing full force creation on Monday, and I should have a final, "step-by-step gameplay" document, with screengrabs from AtB, done by Tuesday night at the latest.

OK, so I've let several days go past beyond when I said I was cutting things off.

You have until midnight tonight to get a Lance Leader and your wingmen rolled for.  If you don't make it, then you'll have to wait to get integrated into the merc unit until after the 1st contract is done.

I have finally got my mechs rolled. so for the character campaign sheet, which one are we using exactly? I have a ATOW one with me, but with the XP thing that is required for that creation, I did not think it was that one that is usable. Also for the custom mech, do I have to roll to get what I want, or so long its within the timeline, it is considered fair game, besides the XL engine and such?

The skill list is on page 2 of the character creation doc.  The final form to present your unit is at the end of several creation threads, just cut and paste.

You can either roll and customize what you get subject to the rules in the other threads, or choose a mech within your faction table.  So if it appears on the faction where you did your tours of duty list, you can choose it.

I understand the roll and customize or choose. I was asking regarding the equipment that I wanted to put on the custom mech. Besides the well-equipped for certain items, anything for the part of the faction items, is there any restrictions on what equipment I can place on the mech?

Outside of making sure it exists?  It should be fairly easy to get intro level tech.  Is there something specific you're worried about?

Limits to lance BV exist still.
