Shouldn't your TN be 9+?

8+ for intro tech +2 for contract =10-1(scrounge)=TN 9. Or am I missing something?

paid a whole lot more than base price

for every 10% willing to pay over reduce tn by 1 - this doesnt add up to terribly bad with low cost stuff but escalates quickly...
