Unit CO: Fairchild Lance was returned to full combat-readiness 3 days after the previous engagement.  It reports full readiness status if requested as a reinforcement unit.

GM: So, because we'll generally know how long we have until the next mission, we can use our Techs intelligently.  I know that if I flub a roll, a Tech of a higher Quality level has to try it again or I can't fix the component.  Therefore, the Green Tech did all the reloading (which *can't* fail); done in 45 minutes.  The Regular Tech did almost all of the work - usually doubling the repair time for the roll bonus - using 885 minutes on repairs (including a failed roll).  The Veteran Tech stood by to perform any repairs that the Regular Tech couldn't do, and since she doesn't have other time commitments, if something came to her, she'd max out the time it took to get the bonus, because if she misses the roll, I don't have an Elite Tech who can fix it instead.  She had to cover for the Regular Tech once; repairing armor damage to the Vindicator.

Fairchild Lance would arrive on turn 5, right? So lets plan on them joining

Next fastest arrivals would be Kong or Reaper lances iirc. Any preferences? Player availability?

Also, has serrate posted he'd be there for the new date?

Reaper is fully repaired and ready (plus I will be there). Also need to consider the other lances that were not in the first mission to give everyone a chance to play their lances. If Fairchild and Reaper are both in this mission then the only change is Serrate's lance for Dancers lance and there still is 3 other lances. Don't get me wrong, I would like to be in every mission if my forces are available, but for the enjoyment of all the players, we need to somewhat consider how often the lances get deployed. But if players aren't going to RSVP then their lances will probably be but at bottom of list for reinforcements.

I suggest RSVP in Pokey mission 2 sheets thread, so we don't get to 20 threads just for one mission.

Rob,

Which lances will be allocated to the extraction mission? Basically, to get every Lance in between this game and next, which lances are guaranteed to be assigned next mission?

Since we didn't salvage stuff last game, let's make sure we get a mech or two in salvagable condition so we can take our chills and run to the extraction mission. :D

Mission 1 Assigned:
Dancer
Reaper

Mission 2 Assigned:
Crusher
Dunedain

Mission 3 Assigned:
Technically, you don't know yet.
However, only Fairchild, Ice, and Kong Lance are still outstanding, and everyone is guaranteed to be assigned to at least one mission, so...

Okay.
Let's get Fairchild and Kong lances saddled up.

Kong lance (Mike) says he will only be there until lunch time in previous post and said his lance would be better for extraction. Also, Rob said each lance will be called up as assigned units. Which means Fairchild, Ice, and Kong lances will probably be assigned for extraction. If they take heavy damage in this mission they will be at a diadvantage for the extraction, and we don't know if other units will be able to be called in as reinforcements. Something to consider.

Okay, if we play this so that all three of the lances for next game are pristine,  Fairchild, Ice and Kong lances are off the table, we end up with 3/4 people who played last time playing again. Also, all available reinforcements would come in Turn 6. I think in that case, we may take heavier damage than is good. But I don't really see any way to change that. Ice would come in at the same time as Reaper and Dancer and is guaranteed to play the next game. The lure is that Fairchild would come in earlier than Dancer, but I think you are right that the next game's lances should be benched this fight.

So I guess the call will be revised to Reaper and Dancer lances as reinforcements.

Good to know. Turns might have gotten long if Rob was the entire OpFor.  ;D

I was looking in the Step-by-Step Guide and found for reinforcements, the time of arrival formula. It is, 12 Turns - (reinforcement lance leader Tactics bonus) - (Walk Speed of the slowest member of the lance) = Turn of Deployment
Subtract an additional 2 Turns (to a minimum of 0) if all members of the reinforcement lance are jump-capable.

I have tactics 3, slowest mech is 4, and all mechs in lance are jump capable. This will give me an arrival time of round 3 not 5.

OK, this is irritating.  My CBT people contact info spreadsheet is no longer on my computer.

Does anyone have Bryan's phone number?  I thought he was going to be there tomorrow, but I can't contact him to be sure.

Second point: if anyone is interested in historicals afterwards, go post in the historicals forum asap so I can make sure I pack stuff.
