We aren't using glancing blows, so if that's the only change, then there's no positive effect.

You should pick up a fourth anyway. You may be needed for battles on consecutive days. We've had a couple of those happen, but were okay so far. Especially when/if we get to the clans, we will have a lot of frantic repairs. You might as well get going on assembling an elite stable of techs.

Question about hiring mechwarriors. The current ruleset says the following (bold added):

Wingmen are classified as “light”, “medium”, “heavy”, or “assault” Pilots, based on the Mech in which they enter play,
or to the first Mech type to which they’re assigned (ie, a newly-hired Mech pilot is assigned to an empty Thunderbolt; he
is now classified as a Heavy Mech pilot).

Does that rule mean we can ignore the marketplace designation for mechwarriors of "light", "medium", etc, since the true classification will be based on what the pilot is assigned to? Or does it mean that the rule is irrelevant, since pilot weight classes are pre-assigned in the marketplace?

From what I was told regarding the Pilot and gun of a pilot, they are set up based on their rank
Green: 5/6
Regular: 4/5
Veteran 3/4
Elite: 2/3
It will go one down for clan pilots.
My assumption with the desig. for weight class, i assume that is the class they were assigned to.

That rule only applies on creation of the lance.
The listed weight class is for new hires.
