My concern with darkness is that it will hamper a lot more than help.  We still need to get to all 4 corners and back, and with how much the one darkness scenario slowed things down, I'm leary about doing that.  We also need to take out a quarter of the opponents to achieve success.

darkness only really hurts non jumpers or non searchlight

I'm likely to drop with both lights, neither of which jumps.  Darkness is a thin shield, and really slows down a lot of our objective grabbers except for the LAM.  Terrain and weather are our allies here, not darkness.

Also, just for polling sake if I proxied a Numeroeon lance Wasp as a locust would people loose their minds, or do I need to work and acquire a locust?

my suggestion would be terrain like you already have and possibly something like light gale if possible just to make sure any of the srm/lrm mechs/veh have some trouble

not sure how much that would affect everyone outside of crusher..crusher would have the hardest time with it if chosen for reinforcements if you do try to get light gale..not sure if kong has any srm stuff still either

my reasoning is the reinforcement pegasus/lrm carrier/both griffins/bombardier/warhammer/zhukovs all use missile weapons i would honestly want something to impact ballistic as well as missile because dual ac10 zhukovs really are not a fun thing to see


i dont think ppl will throw a fit at the wasp although it might get raided at the end of the game by timberwolf

Kong and Skaraborg/LRM work well together - I have lots of NaRC ammo and a launcher, Kong has a launcher as well and his skirmishers help keep the fast crap off the slow movers back, and can easily be apply a while lot of missiles.

And I really really want to pull a Hextall on someone with that goalie stick.

My understanding about changing weather is that it's random if that's something I choose to do.  I can consider trying to add wind, but terrain to me is more important.  Woods and hills cause all sorts of problems for line of sight as well as for the hovercraft.  It will even cause problems for spotters which is handy as well.  While the terrain won't stop their jump capable mechs from maneuvering, it will inflict their penalty for jumping on any sort of spotting.  Let's get the terrain where it's to our advantage and then we can see how many rerolls we have left and go from there.

Kong has a launcher as well

um, someone decided to prk my Narc Launcher right net to ever medium mechs because the risk of falling was far to high.  I no longer have a narc launcher equipeded, and need a factory to fix that

Attached is the salvage file, in case we end up destroying 50% or more units.
There is no need for the salvage file. We have 100% salvage, if we salvage it, we keep it.

right i agree terrain is absolutely primary in the suggestion

the secondary was because of the direct missile and ballistic complement that they get which the zhukovs alone are scary at least to me as we close they only get better. That being said if we plan on going the missile compliment on our side because i forgot about the combination of lrm support we can also throw because of the narc then im ok with it. We just have to make sure their lrm units continue to move instead of park. if they park then they dont have horrible numbers even at long range. The break point is getting past medium range into short. if we can manage that and kill the zhukovs fast then it wont be as bad. Each of their lights will lose a leg if not crit a leg on any 10+ weapon if not 8+ the mediums (will negate any artemis and possibly any narc?) as well as be a pain considering the short to mid range damage the 3 jumpers can do. They the whammy zhukovs and lrm carrier would need to be priority in the least i think.

You could also look at map size. With Rob's LAM, you could look at trying to extend the map size... Though that would be a potential double edged sword.
