HAT
Since this is your first time in local command, here's how this works.
1) We use your Tactics score as an initiative bonus for the whole scenario, as long as you're in your Mech (+1 for the Wolverine being a Command Mech, and +1 for our Administrator staff, so we'll have a good score).
2) You can choose to use rerolls; these rerolls can change aspects of the battlefield. Anything with a little box next to it in the mission dialog can be rerolled. TERRAIN changes the overall terrain type for the mission, and will also usually reroll the map. MAP rerolls the specific map type within the overall terrain type. MAP SIZE and LIGHT are self-explanatory, though map size will not *radically* change - this mission will never be on a 20x20 board, for example, but you might get a 30x40, or a 40x50, or a 50x50. Finally, rerolling "WEATHER" will also generate new Wind and Fog conditions); you have your full 5 rerolls because the contract has Independent Command Rights (you get less in Integrated, Liaison, or House command). You need not use all rerolls. Think carefully about what the conditions do, especially Light and Weather, because they can cause significant issues with the mathematical ability to complete the scenario. It is possible to totally screw yourself and generate weather conditions which make completing scenario objectives impossible.
2a) Rerolls are done one at a time; post what you want re-rolled, and I'll tell you the result. Once we're done with the reroll process, I'll generate the full scenario and generate the actual playing maps (there's no point in doing so until Terrain/Maps are finalized).
3) You determine who Reinforcements are, if any. You can ask other Lance Leaders to join, and you can select up to [Strategy Rating] in number of Lances. Note, however, that I may have to step in and limit things if it seems likely that we're going to get 8 PCs and 1 NPC. Also note that there's a good reason to use minimal reinforcements when possible; it means more "kill enemy units" XP for the people who are deployed into the mission. My *recommendation* is probably only deploying a single Reinforcement lance for this mission; between my LAM and yours and Kong's Light Mechs, we have good ability to complete the movement objectives, but we do still have to kill stuff. Dunedain has a Solo Mission the same day (and it's a HARD mission); I would hesitate about asking for his deployment. Reaper and Bright cannot be selected since the players are out, but that does leave Skaraborg, Dragon, Dancer, and Crusher lances to select from. Examine the TO&E and their lance capabilities and choose wisely.
4) You can choose Battlefield Support Point assets, from the BattleMech Manual. We'll get into that when we look at the final scenario.
