Operation PERSEI
Pros:  Independent command rights, 100% transportation (8 jumps will earn us some bucks), and 100% BLC, travel time will cover some of the planned refits, Nice Climate
Cons: F rated allies and C rated (Capellan) enemies will drive down salvage, which is only at 30%, contract is 18 months long
Verdict: Serviceable

Operation Tempest
Pros: 100% transport and BLC, 50% salvage, Veteran allies
Cons: Planetary assault against an elite enemy with C rated equipment is a recipe for unproductive missions, distance is too short to make much off of the transport or to cover refits en route, House Command
Verdict: Pass

Operation Harpe
Pros: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Verdict: Pass

Operation LINDISFARNE
Pros: 100% Transport, 80% BLC and 80% salvage (Exchange) look good, regular opponents with C rated gear should let us beat up on the Rasalhogs, independent command
Cons: Green F support won't help much, contract is 18 months long in the Clan Wolf invasion corridor (Biota is NNW of Tukayyid...)
Verdict: Okay, but lower than PERSEI

I guess the real question is how much we want to metagame things. The LINDISFARNE contract would just be completing when the first inklings of the clan invasion start filtering out. One other major down side is that with these 18 month long contracts, we won't be accruing cash fast enough to get our second dropship before the invasion, when prices will rise dramatically. I have my doubts about how fast we can do it anyway, but it would push us back until post invasion as a virtual certainty.

IMO they all suck.

Lindisfarne would be my preference (Quirk/hates FRR), but I'd prefer to wait till March.

Personally I'd rather do Linisfarne of the ones there.  Against the regular opponents the Green F support will matter less.  Better chance with the higher salvage to stockpile gear and build up.  There are 10 jumps vs. the 8, so more payout for that.  Even if contract goes the full length, we should still have ~5 months before the Clans hit House planets rather than Periphery.  It'll be easier to close the 20% BLC difference than the 50% salvage difference.

I'm happy to hold off and see what March brings though.

New Earth has factories and we would be on the ground about the 25th if my back of the envelope calculations are correct? Then we would see the March contracts and have up to the 15th to accept a contract, correct? That would give us 18 days of factory time.

18 days is enough to put in a failed XL alone and nothing else.

Umm...no.  It's 41.3 days from Athenry to New Earth.  We'd get there ~March 15th

As the FRR player I'd be less than thrilled about shooting at my countrymen.

Great, Sarna and AtB disagree on transit distances. Sarna has New Earth at 6 days, not 22.

Well, let me put it this way.  We can change Sarna.  I can't change the value in the program, so...

Also, the Star Type is totally different as well.  Sarna has it as a G8V type, while AtB has it as a F0V.  Interestingly, the only source for the jump point transit time is from Dark Age sources (Dark Age: Republic Worlds (3130)), not from anything concurrent to 3050.

I would bet on simple programmatic generation and it's just a live with it thing. Oh, well.

Slightly better.  Still not good.
