We now have a server up and running.  If anyone would like to join us, please respond here, ASAP.  The reason I bring this up now is that the Steam Summer Sale has started, which means the game is CHEAP.  The things you will need in order to play are:

Steam
Discord
ARMA 3: $10.19 on Steam
ARMA 3 APEX DLC: $8.49 on Steam
Paypal so you can pay server rental fee ($5/month)

We don't have "scheduled" games; the game world is persistent and even if you're the only one on the server, there's plenty of stuff to do.  As a reminder, the game mode is Antistasi, where players participate as a resistance faction trying build a power base to kick not!-Russian and not-!American invaders/liberators off our bloody island.  While the game is multiplayer, it's only by invite and there's only 20 slots on the server, so this is mostly a "1 degree of separation from me (Rob) or the guy from HEMA who's running this (Ben)" sort of thing.  You won't be exposed to the stereotypical "online gaming" jackassery.

Finally, and in particular, if you know how to deal with game servers and want to play, please say something.  Right now we're only running the vanilla Antistasi mod of the game, but there were several other mods we wanted to install and could never seem to initialize successfully.

No worries.  We've been active for about 2 weeks now, making sure the server is stable and nothing that isn't *supposed* to blow up, blows up.  So there's no super time crunch; aside from the Steam Sale, obviously.  The dude who is running the server's name is Ben, and I know he's good with people sending larger amounts in advance.  Side note: there should be a way to set up an automatic payment via Paypal as well.

We stock up on weapons from the Opfor after killing them, taking over a base, or just stealing it. What we do is try to liberate an island. We have stolen tanks just by walking up, jumping in, and driving away really fast.

Hey, the stealing of tanks by walking up and stealing them is actually a time honored tradition of theft. 

PS.  If you want to join in random tank theft then talk to me and I can explain my semi-successful methods for doing so

FYI, the ARMA server will be very dead this weekend because basically everyone who isn't Deadly or AA is going to be attending the same event.  You might get Ben and Matt back Sunday night, but *probably* not.
