Post Operation LIBER Plans
« on: October 13, 2019, 10:54:47 AM »

All,

First, the unit paid out additional bonuses at the end of Operation LIBER.  See the contract thread for details.

Given repair and customization needs, the unit will remain on Canopus through at least August 1st.  We will generate a contract market for August but not for July.  This means that depending on what you want to do, you potentially have time to order parts, receive them and still do factory modifications.  I am trying to at least ensure that Phoenix and the newer lances have the chance to update their mechs especially given that customization work was interrupted on Sudaten.

Also, Freya will be given priority for Mechwarriors until staffing up to 5 (currently at 3).

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Is anyone else at 4 pilots?  I'm veteran PC, Veteran assault, veteran assault and bright green medium.

I'll get my lance operation status later tonight.  I'm technically combat capable but barely (ammo is dry)

I'm not happy with the loses we took on my watch during liber2.  I'll be reconfiguring the Awesome 8T starting late July once parts.  I'll coordinate with CO once I see what the next marketplace brings

Until I can get to a region that sells both UAC and endo, I am down one mech for a time, but can field full lance at this time.

I’m sorry I missed you were at 4 pilots. You’ll also have priority. I don’t expect you and Freya will be targeting the same pilots.

Everyone needs to make sure they keep the Google sheet up to date.

I've advanced the timeline to 1 July and will post the marketplace today after I get back from the minis/train show in West Chester.  Do your retirements before looking at the market.

Freya and myself talked about it last night.  If somehow he comes into conflict with my wishlist I'll acquiesce to him as his 3 is under my 3 and a confused Russian teenager.

Turkina will be back online in about 8 weeks.  Once it's online I'll determine pods.

That confused Russian teenager somehow managed to specialize in Clan ER PPCs. He’s got potential as more than just a Clan groupie!  ;)

Projected plans for ICE lance

Engine swaps maybe planned after repairs on some mechs

Currently in possession of a 240XL generic engine 2 SLDF engines an engine for the Griffin and javelin

Javelin to XL - will need to check projected bv vs current to see where to go with the rest

Griffin to XL - probable with update to weapons loadout and increase in bv

Marauder to XL - probable 5/8 with no jj - or 4 6 4 - open for discussion

Once repairs for Warhammer are done I will be throwing in an XL

Yeah, getting him one is currently on my to do list but it won't be while we're on planet.  The technical staff will be working overtime as is.

Skaraborg short term mech refit plans:

Oduya's custom Awesome will be refitted to a stock 9Q but we can only do that once we get to our next destination because I can't get any ECM here.  This work is actually pretty easy to do once we get on world (about 3 to 4 days after the part comes in)

Kronwalls Awesome I'm unsure of as of yet.  Probably not much, maybe swap for ERPPCs and some extra heat sinks.

The Aweome 8T will be assigned to Jean-Luc - I'll refit it here on world to get it more useful for him, but outside of CASE all the work can be done on the road.

Concerns:
Ammo supply is a basically nil.  Time on world will help resolve that to an extent except for Gauss rounds, not sure if they're available here.  If they are, things will be fine, if not..well, I'll figure it out.

Calvert is 51 years ago and has come close to retirement a few times now.  Finding a cheap 'Mech for him to retire on is a semi-priority, and finding his replacement when the time comes is also a concern.

Note: Skaraborg has NARC launchers.  Lances who utilize missile weapons should consider finding a couple of tons of NARC ammo to benefit from this weapon system.

Long term: Acquiring an C/ER-PPC for Alexi because...he's good with the stupid things.  I'd like to notate his Phawk for a longer term refit, but may have to wait for factory time in the future.  We've heard grumblings about reverse engineering captured OmniMechs - if true and the Inner Sphere start making and selling their own, I am definitely interested in them.
