Open Terrain 3.....Grasslands 1...Coast 1

Deployment
Pre-game:
ComStar and Ranger forces must determine which force is entering from the north and south map edges.  This is a blind choice (OPFOR doesn't know.)  Clan forces must choose whether to deploy "heavy" to the north, or the south.  This is a blind choice (Ranger/Comstar forces don't know).

Comstar Deployment: Comstar forces may deploy up to three hexes in from the board along either the north or south edge of the board, up to halfway across the board.  However, the Level IIs may not share a mapsheet during initial deployment (ie, if Comstar deploys on the north edge, Level II-A could deploy onto the Open Terrain mapsheet, but if they did, Level II-B could only deploy onto the BattleTech mapsheet).

Ranger Deployment: Ranger forces may deploy up to three hexes in from the board along either the north or south edge of the board, up to halfway across the board.  However, only up to 2 lances may share a mapsheet during initial deployment (ie, if the Rangers deploy on the north edge, Skaraborg and Phoenix could deploy onto the Open Terrain mapsheet, but if they did, Dragon could only deploy onto the BattleTech mapsheet).

Ranger Reinforcements: Ranger reinforcements may enter the board anywhere along the map edges on the western half of the map (up to halfway across the Grasslands 1 or BattleTech map), on their initiative order.  Ranger reinforcements may also be air-dropped anywhere on the western 6 mapsheets, but they must be dropped at high altitude to avoid ground fire striking the DropShips; they will spend 1 full turn descending from Altitude 6 to Altitude 3 (+3 TMM) and can be fired at while falling, without being able to return fire.

Clan Deployment: The Command Star must deploy onto the City Ruins mapsheet.  The other three Stars are deployed on the Coast maps; if the Clan player selected "South heavy", 2 of the 3 other Stars must deploy onto the Southern mapsheet, and vice versa if North was selected.

Environmental Conditions:
Clan Aggression: Clan Mechs may not willingly remain stationary for any reason during the first 4 turns of the game, and must attempt to move generally west to INTERCEPT the incoming attack forces.  Put plainly, they may not sit back on the coastline hills and snipe.

Zellbringen: at this point in the Battle of Tukayyid, the multiple and blatant breaches of zellbringen by the Com Guard have rendered Clan honor moot.  Clan units may combine fire freely, but may not make physical attacks.

Ammo Dump: The ammunition depot for the entire Jade Falcon advance across the Prezno Plain is somewhere along the river coastline.  The specific location will be revealed to Ranger/Comstar players when their first non-crippled unit enters the SeaPort mapsheet.

Battlefield Support
Rangers may use any artillery or ASF battlefield support they choose, irrespective of point costs.  ASFs are still limited to 2 sorties per fighter, and artillery is limited by the ammunition available to it.

Jade Falcons will maintain appropriate air cover against any incoming air attacks (this Cluster has ~30 ASF available); any Heavy Attack will be met with a heavy defense, and so forth.  Clan pilots are exhausted from the multiple days of air operations, and so any Air Defense rolls by Clan air units take a +2 TN modifier (ie, a 4+ becomes a 6+).  Additionally, the turn following ANY Ranger artillery fire, a randomly-determined Light or Heavy air Strike attack (1-4 Light, 5-6 heavy) will attack the Ranger artillery units, using standard Have Mech Will Travel campaign rules.  This attack may be countered by Ranger BSP air defense, as per normal rules (if any exists).  Only a single attack will be dispatched per instance, regardless of the number of artillery rounds fired (the target attack will be randomized between deployed Ranger artillery platforms).

PC Victory Conditions:
1) Destroy or Cripple at least 8 Clan units
2) Destroy the buildings at the target locations (ie, the Clan ammo dump)

OPFOR Victory Conditions:
1) Destroy at least 12 IS units deployed on the battlefield map
2) Prevent the ammo dump from being destroyed.

Misc Rules
1) Exiting the battlefield requires a unit to remain stationary at the board edge for 1 turn.  Only a single spent MP is required to move offboard (ie, the environments MP penalties doesn't apply; or, more specifically, the Minimum Movement rule overrides it).

2)Jade Falcon forces will shoot any weapons they have available at ejected IS pilots, as long as there is not another IS mechanized unit as close or closer to them in the fire phase.

For my printed maps, I have all but the extra Coast map. I do not own the map set in the paper either. If anything I can use the CAD paper I currently have to print it out, but would rather not use the ink like that.

S'all right.  I have like 4 Coast 1 maps.

Haven't had a chance to think this through yet.  Looking at the available options on Dragon and Pheonix.  Thinking of bringing Freya

I was thinking the same thing, not so for his units, more so I do not get my head shot off every chance he gets.

I expect everyone will be in a battle at some point. Maybe 2 for some (I think Rob said 3 missions), so he’s certainly going to be on the OpFor at some point.

Your mission CO, so however you want to work things is fine. people’s lances have changed so, didn’t know if you wanted updated options.

With your enemy being Skye, how would that affect my contact with them?

Elsa picked up Enemy 3 after a certain duel on Somerset.

Not sure if it was accidental, but the two coast maps are both coast 2 and not coast 1.
