Based on the way Rob's handling things I fully expect we will resolve all standard marketplaces before dealing with contracts as he didn't hold back November and has waited to post the Contracts.

If we get a good contract in November, we're taking it.  If what you want out of the November marketplace isn't being requested by anyone else, I would suggest we just put you down for None and then people can reconsider if for some reason we're stuck here an extra month.  Fair?

On discussion with several people regarding Battle Value and upgraded units, and taking some time to run maths, the Lance BV Cap is RAISED to 7,500, effective immediately.  

Don't expect for it to be raised again for a VERY long time.

It wasn't.  I had a discussion with some offsite folks who were pointing out that the BV of upgraded IS stuff jumps high enough that 7k was insufficient to allow for lance compositions of some of the most common upgraded Mechs, particularly because the average light and medium Mech BVs go up HUGELY due to the way the BV values speed/jump jets.  Average Light Mech BV goes from about ~500, to ~750, and mediums go from about ~900 to ~1300.  Heavies go up a little less, from ~1300, to about ~1650 (but then take another jump to ~1850 after 3055, once people realize you can make 5/8/5 Mechs in the heavy category which aren't trash), and assaults go from about ~1500 to ~2300 (but get pulled up somewhat due to some super high-BV Dire Wolf loadouts...Dire Wolf Hohiro).

Basically, it's roughly a 40-50% increase over intro-only Tech.  And that means that under sterile conditions, the 5,800 BV cap should increase to almost 9,000 BV to account for that differential.  I'm not doing that, because it becomes entirely too easy to fit four SFE, low-BV heavy or assault zombies into that space, and that would negate too much of the "medium/heavy cavalry" thing the unit has going for it.  But bumping to 7,500 seems to be a half-decent middle ground, up until the second wave of new technology starts appearing in the game (~3058-60).

Buying ClanTech requires you to have a contact within range (or use the contact care package option), or be on a Clan-held world, or be past 1 January 3058 (which is evidently the date that the Diamond Sharks start opening up parts sales to the Inner Sphere, as per Ray).  It also requires you to hit the TN.

You're within range of a contact, and you hit the TN.  It's fine.

EDIT: when I asked, I hadn't scrolled up the acquisitions thread far enough to see you acquire the TComp, so I didn't know where the hell it had come from.

Ok.  Unit chits updated for all the vehicle personnel needed to cover the new additions plus the doctors.  We have enough vehicle personnel to crew all of the vehicles with the exception of 1 Maxim Heavy Hovercraft.  I'm doing this at a rush to try and get this in and keep things moving.  If I'm short a doctor, I'll add a Regular doctor from October.  I'm working on getting all the vehicle crews assigned/reassigned to try and make consistent experience units.  Adding the various vehicles makes sense, but all the personnel is a PITA, so we won't likely fill out all the available vehicle slots (36).  We'll see.
