Just generate, this is fine, unless I am in M4 for whatever reason.

Deployment
OPFOR PRIMARY: Deploy anywhere on the central map.

OPFOR LOCAL: Deploy between 1 and 2 units on the north side of the south map, deploy between 1 and 2 units on the central map.  Deploy between 1 and 2 units on the south half of the northern map. Infantry may freely deploy on top of or inside buildings, but not via hidden deployment.

RANGERS: Deploy within 3 hexes of the south board edge after all OPFOR have deployed.

Environmental Conditions
Thin Atmosphere: Apply a -2 Cruising MP penalty (redetermining Flank MP) to WiGE, VTOL, and Hovercraft unit types.  WiGE must expend 7 MP to take off.  Apply an additional +1 PSR penalty to airborne unit types to avoid loss of control in atmosphere (applies to lawn dart checks as well, for clarity).

Victory Conditions:
At least 3 non-crippled Ranger units need to be within 3 hexes of the north board edge, and the liaison needs to be capable of spending MP at that time. /victory may be declared at the end of that turn.

MISCELLANEOUS
1) Exiting the battlefield requires a unit to remain stationary at the board edge for 1 turn.  Only a single spent MP is required to move offboard (ie, the environmental MP penalties doesn't apply; or, more specifically, the Minimum Movement rule overrides it).

2) OPFOR MechWarriors will attempt to capture any ejected Ranger MechWarriors in this scenario, unless a Ranger BattleMech target in LOF is equally as close (or closer) than the ejected MechWarrior, or the Ranger BattleMech target is within 8 hexes and subject to a valid LOF in any case.

3) The TN to recruit captured OPFOR MechWarriors is reduced by 1 (to a maximum of -3) for every 100,000 CB they are paid at the end of the contract.

4) If 4+ Pirate MechWarriors are KIA during this mission, inform the GM immediately.

AAR:
While trying to push the line, Lancer made it to the city with limited information about where enemy forces were located. Fire started pretty early with minor pockets of damage between fire on both sides. Being bogged by the amount of forces, LTJG Geiger in the Archer, began taking heavy fire from the West flank in the South. Archer began pulling around through the South while a lance of medium mechs began to follow. Highlander and Zeus began to push the heavier units on the East end. Highlander and Zeus began to fire at the smaller tanks, taking them out before even reaching closer to the center of the city with a motorized infantry in hot pursuit. While the Archer tried to get into a better position, one of the Shadow Hawks got a lucky hit on an ammo bin, taking the engine along with it. In a fit of fury, Kranz in the Orion ended up taking down 3 medium mechs in the push North while the other 3 units got hindered. Highlander got a lucky shot taking out the behemoth with a good motive, while Zeus and Apollo slowly chipped at other units. Zeus fired at a building where an infantry unit went into and taking the building down on them. Getting to the center of the city is when the battle began to heat up with the Warhammer and Wyvern giving heavy damage to remaining units.

Orion broke through the center, taking massive damage and giving it, got to the end without a hitch while Zeus and Highlander still worked on preventing remaining units from catching up. The center was a bloody battle, with Highlander and Zeus taking heavy damage, but able to leg or destroy weapons on the remaining mechs that stood in our way. One by one, the enemy mechs began to fall, take ammo explosions, losing limbs, while the field gunner struggled to get a position to fire. After the last mech fell and was unable to move, the remaining 2 units in Lancer moved away from the fire to preserve what little mech they both had left, while the Orion stood idle on the North end. Damage was severe, but theirs is worse.

This would be a GM call.

That sounds like a narrow - possibly pyrrhic - attacker victory.

Also, FWIW, remember that we've established that infantry cannot contest control of the battlefield.  Which means it's a clean sweep for the Rangers and therefore you *do* get to claim salvage.
