End of contract checklist
« on: December 04, 2025, 04:18:22 PM »

That time of year again.
Time to make checklist.

Retirement checks for:
Unit All passed after 2nd round
Lancer Passed
Fire Passed
Paladin Passed
Ehreschuld Passed
Blitzkrieg Passed
Foil Passed
Fury Passed
Jazz Passed
Marigold Passed
Norbotten
Pilum Passed
Zeta Passed

We will stay on planet til Apr 3rd and flying to Arcturus (4 jumps), Mech and vee factory or Orestes (2 jumps) Mech and Vee factory. Arcturus is closer, but want clarification for the former per GM (I use Sarna to make this decision)
Possibly have Wurm join upon landing so he can start building personnel and equipment (500,000 given to new lance)
Stay for May and June, gen contracts for June (take contract so we do not add more retirement rolls)

Please tell me what you intend on keeping for TO&E. I do not really want to bother people to get things sorted.

I don't have a CO at the moment, so not sure how the post-contract retention rolls will work out.

Stick around after game on Saturday; we'll get your new CO up.

I've got a Warmahordes tournament that day I'm planning on attending.  If I can't due to...reasons or I get frustrated and drop I'll swing by.

Arcturus doesn't have an active Mech factory; it shuts down sometime between 2550-3000, and doesn't start Mech production back up until 3071.  All of its listed Mech production is Primitive (a tech base which goes extinct around 2500), except for the Crossbow, which is explicitly discontinued by 2550.

Orestes is an FRR world home to several factories, including ASFs (Janesek Industries) and Vehicles and Mechs (Odin Manufacturing).  As of 3063, they should produce Ostscouts and Beowulfs.  Fortunately, the FRR stops their anti-mercenary policies and price increases in the mid-3050s, so you don't have to be concerned about things like 400% price increases, or Molotov cocktails being thrown into your encampments by civilians.  Mostly.

Orestes would also be a good place to drop Smyth's corpse off

Since May 1st is upon us. Please update your ages and do your xp rolls as needed once you finalize your April market and rolls.

For those that do alter their own TO&E from time to time. Do not touch it for ages please, I intend on going straight down the list again.

100% IC

Communication arrives for the CO:

Col Mayer,

I see that we have arrived in the active conflict zone of the Rasalhague District of the Draconis Combine. In order to keep all lances' assets safe in this warzone, Foil lance is more than happy to maintain two completly active and armed mechs in active patrol around our dropship for defensive purposes.

For the continuation of our unit,
Koda "Lawyer" Yuki, Foil actual

"Very well, TO keep concerns to a minimum, I will also send out 2 units once we land to keep watch on the opposite side of the base."

"Hopefully we do not stay longer than June, just want to make sure the unit gets its repairs and refits done as needed. Col Mayer out."
Lancer will send out Current fitted Mad Cat and Night Gyr, piloted by Conners and Mayer Respectively. Will also reload current armament in transit. Most likely doing 12 hour shifts alternating between these 2 with Grendel and Ryoken, piloted by

"To all units, this will hopefully be temporary and nothing to worry about. Please get everything done prior to liftoff sometime late June. Mayer Out"

Switching back to 100% OOC

Ok, at least you have your mechs out there, but this is likely to lead me IC to have my Black Dragon techs drop Black Dragon insignia on mechs at some point.

OK, I'm going to take a deep breath and talk to everyone about what is going on. This is refereed to as the 'Does Taelor betray the party phase?' I play my negative quarks and backstory really hard. If you don't know what a Black Dragon is, go on Sarna and read it.

So yes, I do take actions that may bring an entire planet down on our head. I also tend to not force the issue when I (correctly) get pushed back against. Deadly has started that pushback.

This was provided to some of you who have never experienced this phase.

We are also within 2 jumps from where the 26th lyran guard is currently fighting, of which my enemy is associated with so it makes sense for me somewhat to be on guard.

Upon landing:
The Orestes Govt has given us the go ahead to use factory facilities while on planet, but made a note that we are not allowed to land any of the units dropships near said facilities (4+ hour trip back and forth). Means we are forced to land in different drop zones. Overlord in one area, Dictator and Mule in another (10+ hour drive apart)

As a player I'm perfectly cool if this results in my lances damage or destruction as long as it makes sense for wherever we're at.  I've got one mech (Banshee) that needs armor put back on and was waiting to arrive on planet for it to arrive.  If that means you capture/kill the techs, so be it.  Four of my techs are improved mechwarriors over the 6/7 starting that all techs have.  My best being a 4/4 Mechwarrior so it's possible that you get a bit of resistance, but they're 4/4, 5/5, 5/6, 6/6 and 6/7 so they mostly wouldn't be a challenge, especially if surprised.  I trust Rob to adjudicate appropriately.
