So, I'm not going to be able to make it.  Rob, do we want to handle this like SR, or just have me sit back in base?

I suggest you let someone drive your PC, but the choice is yours.

EDIT: sorry, baby demanded I not finish the post.  You can let somebody else drive your PC, but you're at full risk AND you're responsible for ensuring that they have a copy of your PC sheet (and a record sheet if necessary).  Or you can can stay back and we find an excuse why you're not in the fight (you develop an actuator fault midway through the march to Firebase Rorke and fall out of the column).

I'm a huge fan of "wave-attack" scenarios, really hate to miss this one.  :(

Rob, is there any benefit to having someone else run your PC?  I mean, if you attend but run OpFor, you still get XP; and if you don't attend and someone else runs your PC you get nothing except the possibility of a large laser to the face right?  I was under the impression that attendance by the Player is what earned XP, and attendance by the PC was somewhat less important.

If that's the case, perhaps when the Player force needs more mechs (due to absence and/or OpFor players), they could draw from a pool of NPC members of the 741st?

Remember, this won't be answered until later in the week.

Has Andy rolled up a character and a mech? This would help as far as the lack of participants.

Well I got my Character and mech to Brent and Brett, so you will have that as long as someone runs it for me.

Hi Rob, could I get an answer to this one?  If my PC needs to be there, I'll send my character/record sheets to Phil; but if not, I won't bother.  Thanks!

For right now, assume that if your PC is there but you are not, AND you're not running OPFOR, you'll get half-XP.   If you aren't there but your PC is AND you're running OPFOR, you get full XP.  If you're not there and your PC isn't there, you'll get no XP.  I'll think this through more thoroughly after this upcoming session, but this'll work on short notice.

Dan, can you confirm invites sent to Ray and Andy, please?

Perfect Rob, thanks.  So there's at least some incentive to keep my PC in the game.    ;)

I've been in training all week and haven't had time to do a blasted thing until today.  Andy is Nashville as far as I'm aware, and has a dead cell phone anyway. Rey I'm not sure about, I'll find out.  Either way, I'm in for OpFor.

Could someone post a brief summary of the game?

Things pretty much went perfectly according to plan.  We destroyed a company of Taurian battlemechs (admittedly we only destroyed bug mechs, clints, and assassins, but Dan did manage to destroy a phoenix hawk), without taking any losses.  I'll post something more detailed this evening as I'm about to leave for work right now.
