Received word this morning that Comair Airlines will cease flying Sept 29 and I will be out of a job.

Well fuck.  Is there any chance of being moved around inside Delta's conglomerate?

No.  Comair is/was a wholly-owned subsidiary since Delta bought us in 2000.  We have been (I don't think I can say what I really think here >:( as this is a public forum) since.  We were never embraced by Delta.

I know several pilots who were around from before the strike.  I got that feeling from all of them.
