Selling stuffs
« on: December 04, 2012, 11:35:12 PM »

OK, I find myself with the need to raise $150 or so very quickly, and I don't have the budget for that with the holiday season going on.  Ergot, I'm selling some duplicate books and offering super-cheap painting services

Books: ($50 for all five books)
TRO: Prototypes: $15
2nd Edition Periphery: $10
The Falcon and the Wolf: $10  Spoken for to Dan
MachWarrior Dark Age Record Sheets I: $10
MechWarrior RPG 2nd ed: $10

Painting
Lance Painting Deals: Get a lance painted for $30 ($32 for a Star, $35 for a Level II)*
Company Painting Deals: Get a company painted for $60 ($55 for a Binary, $70 for a Trinary)*
Other painting services upon request, price negotiable
*Highly complex paint schemes (such as the 6th Donegal Guard or a Lyran Jaeger Regiment's checkerboard pattern) are considered a custom order

Maximum turnaround time is 3 days from receipt of minis per lance/star involved in project.

Paint Que
1) John's Zeus ($30)
2) Mike's mixed Lance ($35 - paid)
3) John's Assault lance ($30)
4) Brandon's Lance - ($55)

Minis:
I've got a pretty wide variety of unpainted metal and plastic mins.  Ask me if you're looking for something.  In general, minis are $5; Unseen are $10.  I do have spare Leviathans minis if you'd like to add to your fleets: $5 per destroyer, $7 per Cruiser, $10 per Battleship (+$5 per mini if you'd like them repainted to match the convention display).

Paypal, checks, and cash are acceptable.  All payment is in advance.

I'll take Falcon and the Wolf for 10 dollars Alex.  I may hand you a lance in a few days as well.

I've got a Mad Cat and a Daishi, no problem.

I do have a single Warhammer..but it's an Unseen and a BattleDroid version of the 'Hammer (which means less detail than the standard model).

I do have a single, Unseen, Griffin.

All told, you'd be looking at:

Lance Painting Deal - $30
Unseen Griffin - $10
x2 non-Unseen Minis- $10 (@$5 each)
BattleDroids Warhammer - $35.  BD stuff is almost irreplaceable and fairly expensive.  If you'd like to pursue this, let me know.

Alternate immediate sources for a Warhammer include
Unseen Warhammer
Unseen Plastic Warhammer
Modern Warhammer

Note that if you buy the Lance Painting Deal but not the BD Warhammer, I'll paint whichever Warhammer you end up with no matter when you get it or who you get it from.

Marauder, Crusader, Locust, and Thunderbolt are the main ones I'm looking for.  Also, its not unseen, but I'm looking for a Zeus (not a Zeus X) as well.

Well, how's about this.  if you're good for the rest of it, I can go ahead and set you up for that, and you'll have a 'credit' of an additional painted mini for when you decide.  That work?

Oh, as it happens, I do have a spare Vulture.  Would you like to go with that?

I'll add the Vulture in, and start priming your stuff tonight, since I have enough mechs to be a lance.  The total will end up being:

Lance Painting Deal - $30
Unseen Griffin - $10
x3 non-Unseen Minis- $15 (@$5 each)
TOTAL: $55

I do not have an Atlas that is unpainted currently.

As for paint schemes, you had mentioned the following:
Griffin: SLDF
Daishi: Clan Wolf
Mad Cat: Clan Wolf
Vulture: Jade Falcon

Are those correct, and do you have any specific unit paint schemes you'd like?  When I paint Jade Falcons, I default to Delta Galaxy, and when I paint Wolves, I default to Beta Galaxy.  are those acceptable schemes?

OK, no problem.  I'll do up your Mad Cat in Golden Keshik colors, since they look badass.

We'll hold off on figuring what the cost of the Atlas will be until the 15th, then.  Go ahead and bring the $55 to cover everything else, as we'll tack the Atlas on for later, with the discount for painting up a Star of mechs included, okay?

Try to handle them by the base, and don't drop them (which is harder than it sounds; I have to redo a mini or two every year from dropping it).  The minis will be varnished in 2 layers of gloss and a layer of matte, so casual handling won't be a problem.  If you're going to transport them, find a padded case of some sort or at least wrap them in kleenex and put them in a small box where they don't have much room to rattle around.  Other than that, your biggest enemy is dust from sitting on shelves at home, and the ways around that tend to involve expensive display shelving or taking a wet paintbrush and brushing them off once a year or so.

EDIT: Just letting you know that the paintjobs on your four minis are just about done, and they should be decaled tonight after Eli goes to bed...so they'll be ready for pickup on the 15th.
