Wow, say all you want about the munchkintastic mercs, but the GDL hold a special place in my heart.  Maybe the novels weren't going to ever win any literary awards, but those books are a big part of the reason I fell in love with the Battletech universe.  I read them back in the mid-90's, over ten years before I ever played my first game of actual table-top Battletech. 

I'll be buying this as soon as they release it.  I may actually have to get it printed out on decent paper and bound at Kinko's or something, if it's reasonably priced. 

They can keep their mini-TRO's full of one-of-a-kind non-production mechs, but when they start putting out PDF's for the GDL, they get paid.  :)

Yeah, have to agree. I like the story of the Gray Death Legion. One of my favorite merc units. Just no minis painted for them.
