Which configuration is our Triumph?

OK, I can't customize DropShips in AtB.  Which is really annoying, because ya'll were SUPPOSED to get one of the modified versions with ASF bays, but AtB refuses to recognize that variant.  So it's this.

Against the Bot Version
8600 tons
383 tons gas
750.5 tons cargo
45 Heavy Vees
8 Light Vees
4 platoons infantry

If you ever need to deploy ASFs for some reason, you're treated as having SIX ASF bays, and you can officially transport up to 36 Heavy Vehicles, not 45 (x9, 100 ton Hvy Vee bays vs x6, 150-ton ASF bays).  Additionally, if cargo space ever ends up mattering (it shouldn't), you'll have the bonus 2,000 tons spoken of in the fluff.

Christ that's annoying.

What are the chances we can retrofit some vee bays for mech cubes?

Okay, just wanted to make sure I wasn't the crazy one.
At our numbers we should probably be recruiting/trading for another mech carrier, if that is even remotely a thing in AtB. Story line wise, if we ever get into the FS I would like to work my contacts, good rep, etc. for us to find another DropShip.

As for the ASF carrying issue, just retcon the Dictator into an Overlord. We still have 36 mech cubicles, and get our 6 ASFs with minimal disruption.

Are you factoring in the absence of Bright and Reaper lances? They're effectively gone from the unit for now, so we're no longer transporting their mechs.

Yes, we took a lot of salvage.
The Dictator is configured for 36 mechs, which is 9 lances, our exact complement (Bright, Reaper, Crusher, Dancer, Dunedain, Dragon, Freya, Ice, Kong, Midnight, and Skaraborg). Add in 5 unit reserve mechs, and individual lance spares for 53 mechs after Bright and Reaper depart with their 13 mechs..

Technically, my Quickdraw was sold by the time we lifted off if it matters.

No.

Mostly because if we had been going for an Overlord in the beginning of the campaign, we NEVER would have made it.  TN for an Overlord is something like an 18, vs a TN of ~13 for a Dictator.  That's the reason we tried to get a Dictator in the first place: it's the only battalion-sized transport which was at all feasible to get.

What are the chances we can retrofit some vee bays for mech cubes?

Mostly zero.  Two reasons:
1) As I mentioned, I can't modify DropShips in AtB.
2) I'm reasonably sure that ya'll don't want to give up a DropShip for ~2 years at a shipyard.  Modifying a DropShip is WAY different than modding a Mech.  Triumphs have (according to the TROs) a ton of "variants", but not "field modifications", if that makes sense.

Okay, how about acquiring a Leopard CV? That would be the smallest ship with the necessary ASF capacity and it shouldn't break everything to the same degree as the other options.

Totally possible.  We just need 171,320,000 C-bills.

That will be a big penny jar...
A heavy one too.
95+ million pounds, give or take.

enforcer is sold

back to

enforcer phoenix hawk warhammer griffin trebuchet ostsol as mech units

primary config

warhammer
griffin
trebuchet
phoenix hawk - can swap for the enforcer if necessary bv cap allows

ostsol is back to stock and repaired as of 4/8 will not be using unless necessary will need time to convert hs to dhs as well add more, then swap in xl jj and extra weapons armor after contract if possible

plan to strip the other enforcer as well to sell if can get another fast medium for dedicated fire support (possibly a royal shadowhawk since thats worth keeping to throw as a dedicated autocannon brawler would like to swap the srms and ammo out for a couple more ml a flamer and armor)

may make purchase on black market for the crusader but might end up waiting until end of month considering possible salvage

My current unit is as follows:
Cataphract: still the same as always.
Archer: underwhelming at the moment, but will be amazing eventually (hopefully).
Vindicator: now with 2 PPCs.
Cicada: no change.
Will be ready for anything for the most part unless IRL intervenes.
