Harvest Trials
« on: October 29, 2010, 09:55:04 AM »

I read where Dan has come up with a series of scenarios called the Harvest Trials. Are we going to be doing these, since Dan is the author of the scenarios? If so, I will have to start saving up canned goods to buy additional edge.

Thats the goal.  As a sneak peak, I'll advise you to look up Era Report: Golden Century....

The 4th is only 2 weeks away. Any update or info on said game?

I'll be creating the event on the Catalyst Demo Page today.  There will be some Clan machines around.....

Well, its an event to play with giant stompy robots, while donating canned goods to a local foodbank.  It is a clan focused event, and will be a fun time.  More than that has not been released, except for the hints that Dan has given, but if I were you I would expect a ROYAL stomping with lots of incoming fire.

Description
Play Battletech - kill your friends while participating in a good cause, whats not to like?

Three Clans have interests in some data that was found in a Brian Cache and want it for themselves.  While each Clan does want to win, they each have another goal in mind for their long term plans.

This is a charitable event, with all proceeds going to the Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank.  There is a cost of admission of 5 canned food items, or a cash donation.  In addition, players can buy edge with donation of cash or canned goods at any time they want.

Players will simply need to bring a pencil and dice.

And, to start the giving spirit - lunch is included with the event.

Feel free to contact the GM if you have any questions.

This is what was sent out from CBT demos to my email.

Just wondering who all might be showing up?

Dan, has the notice went out to other gamers, such as; from Dayton or other communities?
Looking forward to this.

I plan on being there at least.  Also, is the noon start time listed on the e-mail correct?

I will be in attendance, and I will be early if anybody wants to do a lance on lance?

The Noon start time is correct - Dayton knows as far as I'm aware as well.

Well Dan, at least you know to plan for yourself.

Jarrod, I will be early if you want a match, what BV and what limit on the number of units?

The voices in my head are good at organizing events but sadly do not agree on the proper operation of clocks.

How about 4000 BV2 2-6 cannon mechs or vehicles (VTOLS) included TW rules? I know that is a low BV, but in a hour and half that should be good. Plus I like light mechs ;)
