When does the hiring actually occur then? I want to make sure all my numbers are right for the correct month.
"The first day the Marketplace is available, unless otherwise noted". It doesn't matter for pay, since new hired don't draw a salary until the 1st day of the next month regardless (hired any day in May, get paid 1 June). The only time it actually matters is when you're hiring a Tech who works that month. In this particular case, since you guys couldn't access the Marketplace before 8 May (day after you land), assume that they're hired on 8 May.
I only updated AtB because A) there's no conflict between people that the CO has to sort out, so nothing is stopping the potential hires, B) entering people into AtB can take some time, and I have some downtime today to rest up from the drive back from Des Moines, so I had time today to get it done, and C) I have to have the new hires into the unit to generate contracts for June, which takes a LONG time to do all the screencaps and weed out precedurally-generated non-viable contracts (0% Salvage, 0% Support, 0% Transport, 10% Overhead, 24-month Planetary Assault), and so if I wanted to get the contracts ready to post up ASAP once Jon gives the timeline advancement go-ahead, I needed to get those contracts done today.
