(I'll try to start remembering to add map diagrams so you can see what the battlefield orientation is during mission prep phase.)

Reroll terrain and generate, please.

Jesus, that map took forever to upload.  Imgur's getting less reliable all the time.

Final Scenario

NORTH

SOUTH

Maps
Deep Valley 1.......Lake Area
Deep Valley 1......Large Mountain 1
Deep Valley 2......Desert 2

Deployment
Ranger Deployment: Deploy after OPFOR deployment.  Rangers must select either the north-east or south-east corner in which to deploy.  This is considered their "deployment area" for purposes of victory conditions.  The deployment area is 5x5 hexes, and Ranger units may deploy anywhere in this zone.

OPFOR Deployment: OPFOR is divided into 4 lances (BLR-MAD; HER-TBT; Scimitar-Galleon; Schrek-Patton; numbered 1-4 in that order).  Lance 1 must deploy on Level 0 or 1 terrain.  Lance 4 must deploy on terrain level 1 or higher.  Lances 1 and 4 must deploy on the central western map.  Lances 2 and 3 may deploy anywhere (1 lance per map) on the northwest map (north of the fold) or on the southwest map (south of the fold).

Ranger Reinforcement (1 lance): Enter the board anywhere on the eastern board edge

Environmental Effects:
Light Gale: Infantry cannot both move and fire.  They can do only one or the other.

Battlefield Support
Rangers may select up to 20 points of Battlefield support.  The FWL gains 120% of the BSP the Rangers select, but do not have access to air attack or minefield options.

PCs Victory Conditions:
1) Each non-starting corner of the battlefield must be scouted by at least 1 unit, and the scouting unit must return to the Ranger deployment area. By the end of the game all 3 corners must have been scouted and the information returned to the deployment area.
2) Destroy or cripple at least 50% of the opposing force
3) Have 4 units or fewer rendered incapable of spending MP

OPFOR Victory Conditions:
1) Prevent all board corners from being scouted
2) Prevent the information from at least 1 board corner from being returned to the Ranger deployment area.
3) Render at least 4 Ranger units incapable of spending MP

Misc Rules
1) Exiting the battlefield requires a unit to remain stationary at the board edge for 1 turn.  Only a single spent MP is required to move offboard (ie, the environments MP penalties doesn't apply; or, more specifically, the Minimum Movement rule overrides it).

2)The FWL forces will attempt to capture ejected MechWarriors for ransom instead of shooting them.

3) Scouting a corner requires a Ranger unit to be stationary (not immobile) for 1 FULL turn within 4 hexes of the board corner.

To confirm, OpFor lances 1 & 4 can deploy on any map as long as they meet their terrain requirement, correct?

Oh bugger.  I deleted 1 too many sentences.  They must deploy on the central western map.  OP adjusted.

If the Rangers control the battlefield (i.e. more than 50% of the OpFor has been eliminated) can we be considered in a position to successfully finish the scouting?  If yes, but not at 50% what roughly does that look like?

Victory conditions 1 for the OpFor automatically triggers victory condition 2 for the OpFor which certainly makes this challenging.

Rob, reinforcements can scout the locations as long as they return to the original deployment zone, correct?

Moon raises hand during briefing.

Do we have any operational intel on op 2 yet sir?

Also I'm assuming Dragon lance is being chosen due to the overall speed of arrival, as well as how fast his unit assets can break and make for the POIs. Sir I dont necessarily disagree in the calculation and usefulness in the decision but there are operational concerns.

I dont think the opfor intel we have will be wrong either as far as strength so the already designated units going in seem mostly appropriate. I would argue that some lance's may get bogged down or stretched a little thin if each lance breaks off in two groups to push for the objectives. How sure is it that we can break through if multiple lances split off units to make for the objective early on? They could easily forgo one or two areas in the AO throwing their weight all at those locations. Just voicing operational concern with the possible outcome of a lance going verse a company not to mention whatever artillery assets they will have in play for the AO. Judgement call is yours as always as well as planning but wanted to make sure these were discussed with lance leaders.

On a side note yes I acknowledge the possible outcome is they split their forces and the numbers are more even as they pursue each contingent that breaks off.

(Realistically we need almost the entire game depending on the units taken in and cant really stop unless LAMS go in. Deadly comes in early with fast enough units to say yeah break for it. The weight concern is there but the opfor isnt that bad to be like holy hell. I think the mission regardless can and should be won with little casualties. )

Yes also I know missions are generated on mondays it's more PC chatter RP
