The extra mass of the larger engine in your Mech's center torso serves to assist the gyro in keeping the Mech upright and centered.  Your Highlander gains the Stable quirk.

AtB updated up through Post 166 in this thread (Fire Lance's update post), plus the marketplace.

UPDATED LANCES
Blitzkrieg
Ereschuld
Fire
Foil
Fury
Lancer
Osiris
Spectre

STILL NEEDING post-FLINT UPDATES
Ironside
Jazz
Marigold
Norbotten
Paladin

EDIT: Apologies; I looked at the February dates on several of the update posts and forgot that we'd allowed people to do that logistics stuff prior to Mission 6.  Bryan, you're the only one outstanding.

I made this mistake as well.  I had meant to move Spectre's original doctor to retired, had accidentally deleted and hit "save" too quickly.  I hit the back button to go back and try and recover, but while it took me into edit, the details weren't there.  It was Dr. Hasumati Patachli.  I didn't realize this would cause problems though.

FIXED

Medical staff
John Dalton, Elite.

I have no info on this person, it's not in your OrBat thread and not in AtB.  I still have you as having Dr. Christel Nichols.  Can you post the person's relevant data?

The only doctor I have is the one that came over from the 1st Regiment who always had a placeholder name.  At some point in the past during this campaign I saw he was given the name John Dalton and I just used that instead of a placeholder.

Hang on.  Do you meant to tell me that we've been using a placeholder since THE LAST CAMPAIGN and nobody has said anything or noticed?  How the hell is that even POSSIBLE?

Here.  OrBat updated.

Easy.  In the last campaign My pilots were in one of two states.  Healthy, or dead.  There was never anything in the middle

FURY Lance - Post M1 Update

Pilot Injuries
LTSG Baxter (1 hit) was not healed on her 8-1-59 medical check, and permanently lost 1 point of Willpower.  This puts her Willpower to 3; another lost point will medically invalid her from being a playable character and mandate retirement.  Her next Medical check is on 8-8-59.

Readiness
Falconer ready 8-2
Wraith ready 8-2
Thunderbolt ready 8-3
No-dachi ready 8-4
Warhammer ready 8-1
Gallowglas read 8-1

Nothing took any actual internal damage; I suffered a total of only 137 armor damage, and the Falconer's leg was simply blown off with by a single SRM, taking no critical damage.

EDIT:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - SGT Lori Herrera is promoted to LTJG and will assume the role of Fury Lance XO, replacing Leigh Montgomery in this role.

Ok. This is where I think a discussion is warranted. In general I am content that if the dice hate me as they often do that I’ll simply live with the results especially when those dice are physical, at a table, and your bad luck is someone else’s good luck. We’ve known there are issues with the RNG on our site for years. When Dan and I rebuilt the site we tried to find a new RNG program without success. In the vast majority of cases, a bad dice roll on the forum leads to a destroyed component, an extra cost to complete a customization or minimum value on a sale.

Had this happened to any other player I think you would consider intervening. At a minimum I think we’d be discussing a possible rules change potentially even retroactively. I appreciate as GM you wanting to avoid making rules changes that simply favor you. I suggest you cut yourself some slack and remember we do this to have fun. If that isn’t working then we need to consider changes.

My recommendation would be to limit a catastrophic failure to once per time under doctor’s care. You could still have a major injury from 3+ wounds in a combat separate from rolling snake eyes, but this would limit the impact RNG could have. I would say that any pilot that deploys on a mission has interrupted their care and if they rolled snake eyes before taking the field again, they would accept a fresh roll of snake eyes after even if they didn’t gain any additional pilot hits. Actions have consequences and fielding the pilot knowing the potential cost seems reasonable.

I would also suggest allowing a player to burn a permanent point of EDG to avoid the loss of an attribute point that would force retirement as that’s effectively a character “death.”

Ultimately it’s your call but I’m supportive of and recommend looking at a rules change applied retroactively that would avoid these situations in the future. If you want to make it more limited, you could rule that it only applies to PCs, though I don’t think that additional limitation is warranted.

Although this is his second loss to Willpower since the previous contract, he did roll for the loss in front of us post contract so that is not the forums fault. "If your INT, WIL, or CHA drops to 2 you are in a permanent coma and must create a new PC." With 3 instances of force coma, this was just purely unlucky if this is the case. Also, I think this was the first instance ever of such a thing happening in either campaign. Missed the 1st roll, given that forums is being wonky and showed tampered rolls on an untouch thread. Tough luck there.

What I am thinking is maybe one reroll to loss attribute per in game year that refreshes every May 1st, but only used to prevent an instance such as this. If the reroll is same outcome, then so be it.

For clarity, there are 2 medical checks in a row in his thread with snake eyes on 2d6 followed by a 6 on 1d8. If he rolled in person, that’s a 3rd roll and agree that 3rd one isn’t subject to RNG.
