Everyone should be aware that we've crossed into a new block of era modifiers for contract generation.  The good news is that I think this block only lasts from 3063-3065.  Might be as long as 3067, depending on what source AtB pulls from.  But it's a down few years and salvage%/BLC/command rights are harder to come by.  Temper your expectations accordingly.  You're an A-rated unit, so you still have the best odds of getting good terms, but the days of 70% salvage and 100% BLC contracts are gone for a while.

EDIT: Since Sarna has a bunch of Dark Age fluff on there that's confusing things, here the industry on the target planets as of 3063.

Zaurak - none
Epsilon Eridani - Mech factory
Pandora - Mech & Vehicle factory
New Hessen - Vehicle factory
Halesowen - none
Glengarry - Battle armor factory

OK, I can't sleep after hockey, so I'll start.  As a reminder, this is FURY Lance's take on it, not the GM's.

ARTEMIS: Zaurak sounds like kind of a crap world to fight over.  Upsides are that the enemy is worse than us with B-rated equipment, which means that we're finally seeing decent CapCon gear.  30% salvage is acceptable for the time period.  0% BLC sucks, but it is what it is.  Pay isn't great, but it's a short contract.  Downside is that it's a bit of a long trip to get there.  This is a safe contract to take, unless Capellans start doing Capellan things on us.  Not great.  Not terrible.

SWIFT WIND: The transportation cost isn't that big a deal, but the base pay is, frankly, awful.  Our profit margin would live and die on the salvage we take. Fortunately, at least there's enough salvage percentage there to be worthwhile.  B-rated Chaos March is likely to be an absolute grab bag of FedCom, CapCon, FWL, and occasional Clan stuff.  Contract is super short, which means our operational tempo is going to be INCREDIBLY high.  Including solos, we're possibly looking at 4-6 days between missions.  Given that we've got several Techs out for training, I'm not sure we can actually put up with the OpTempo this contract requires. I do like the possibility of Mech factory access afterwards, though.

FENRIR: Pandora is a perfectly fine planet now that the Lyrans have it back, and we'd have factory access, but I don't think anybody wants to fight Clan Wolf for a while, and particularly not when having to keep a bunch of trainees safe.  The only upside here is the short time frame.  But generally, FURY would prefer to pass on this one.

AMBER: Extraction Raids are going to have a lot of fast-moving missions where speed is of the essence.  I'm frankly not sure we can pull this off, given the high mass of several lances.  Salvage is poor, but at least there's some BLC and a totally reasonable base pay scale.  New Hessen isn't a terrible planet to fight on, and while it's a ways away from the middle of the Inner Sphere, 11 jumps isn't an awful travel time. I'd look at this as another perfectly safe contract to take, as long as we understand that we aren't walking away with a battalion's worth of salvage to pad out the numbers on this one.

WOTAN: I'm not really chuffed about fighting the Ghost Bears, but if we have to take them on, this isn't an awful way to do it. Base pay is downright good, and 50% salvage is completely acceptable.  20% BLC is even decent for the time period.  And it's not very far away.  If we want to fight Clanners, this is the one to take.  Granted, I don't think we WANT to fight Clanners right now.

KAGA: Decent pay, acceptable salvage, and good BLC, and the target planet is nearby.  We're fighting an elite-rated force, and we're clearly pulling a major Drac unit's butts out of the fire, so we're at least going to have decent allied forces for the 2nd half of the contract.  The big downside here is that relief duty slams us with a big penalty to acquisition rolls to start with, and so WYRM Lance is going to have a harder time dealing with combat damage since they haven't built up a warehouse yet.

FURY Lance has the following preferences:
If we want to fight Clanners (in order)
WOTAN
KAGA
ARTEMIS
------> AMBER goes here if we think we can deal with the scenario speed requirements

If we don't want to fight Clanners (in order)
KAGA
ARTEMIS
------> AMBER goes here if we think we can deal with the scenario speed requirements

As unit CO, I was thinking between Fenrir and Wotan

Fenrir: keeps up in Lyran space and we have done this once before with the same enemy so it should be a breeze. Do not think we will need factories for a while, aside from some changes to our dropships.

Wotan: Has the best pay and is also a close target, although I am not sure how we will fare in new clan space. Also has the best salvage pool among them, giving us a healthy choice of salvage.

Sadly, I am not really keen on any of these contracts, given they are 55+ days out of our way. The shortest means we work for Dracs again, and ID much rather not. Going into a 6th contract with Lyran does sound interesting.
In any case, Col Mayer is adamant we take one regardless how good or bad they may be.

Quote
Orestes is an FRR world home to several factories, including ASFs (Janesek Industries) and Vehicles and Mechs (Odin Manufacturing).  As of 3063, they should produce Ostscouts and Beowulfs.  Fortunately, the FRR stops their anti-mercenary policies and price increases in the mid-3050s, so you don't have to be concerned about things like 400% price increases, or Molotov cocktails being thrown into your encampments by civilians.  Mostly.

Just leaving this quote for all those picking Wotan thinking to get a good employer who won't screw us over. Capellans just try to company store you, others will try to kill you.

Re: June 3063 Contract Market
From: Pilum Commander Amalia Novak

I've got a preference for Wotan as our next operation. I need clan tech salvage and I've got a soft spot for Rasalhaugue. I'm more than happy to kick clanner ass for them and they're willing to pay up for it.

Fenrir is a close second purely for the parts salvage and factory. The more clan tech I can get my hands on the better. And a factory would be beneficial for getting some of the more "aggressively acquired" parts back up to spec.

As for the inner sphere fighting it goes Amber > Kaga & Artemis > Swiftwing.

Primarily for personal reasons. I'll fight for whomever pays me but don't care for this great house nonsense.

Based on Voting, Wotan is the clear winner. Will get all the finances, admin, and assignments sorted later today. We liftoff on the 25th, enough time for our tanks to finish getting refitted

Based on previous objective raids, it appears that fight is more prevalent

So
Scout:
Lancer
Jazz
Foil
Fight:
Paladin
Pilum
Ehreschuld
Blitzkrieg
Zeta
Defend:
Fury
Norbotten
Marigold
Wyrm

Repair vehicle assignments:
Jifty- Jazz

With current Delta CO in hiatus, Fury will take over Delta assets.
