1. I assume this will be on a 2x1 map set (?).
2. Wooded lake would seem to be an interesting challenge for this board size with existing maps... Are we talking Mountain Lake/Large Lakes or the standard battletech map lake (pond)?
3. What are the withdrawal rules for the FWL forces? Do they need to retreat off of the South/West edges or will any edge work?
4. Are there any other temperature effects in play? Moderate Snowfall includes -50 degrees C which has temperature based impacts on the units that could be more extreme if background temps are lower.
(Dang the moderate snowfall entry on the original printing of TacOps is in need of errata with extreme prejudice due to copy/paste errors)
Net effects of Moderate Snowfall: +1 to all weapon attacks, thin snow on turn 10 and deep snow on turn 20
Mechs: -2 heat per turn
Vehicles: -2 cruise MP, recalculate flank speed
Thin Snow: Wheeled vehicles require +1 MP per hex and +1 driving skill rolls, infernos can turn the hex to mud with a bog down chance
Deep Snow: All units require +1 MP per hex with +1 PSR/DSR, mechs with leg mounted heat sinks dissipate up to 3 more heat per turn, mudded by infernos
5. This time I am going to take that &@^% Wolverine down.
The general plan is to call in Ice, Crusher and Dancer (Fairchild has been heavily deployed)
Map size may/will be re-rolled pending answers on 1-3.
The Vedettes and Scorpion/Prowler will be slowed to 3/5 and 2/3 respectively, making their attack/escape... sluggish.
The Plainsman will slow to 7/11, with rather less impact than the slower tracked and wheeled vehicles. But, the Plainsman can't enter woods...
