If they have any brains, the Crusader will be in position to support the LRM carriers, which wouldn't threat a medium mech too much, but a light could have a bad day getting in range.

I am starting to think maybe I should call in the fighters as support as well as our minelayers. Thoughts? It would deprive the other game of support, but bombs on LRM carriers would greatly reduce the indirect threat.

FYI, there's supposed to be BMM errata issued that keeps ASFs from being immune to ground fire.

... and they use one of the fast lights, like the Falcon or Hermes that can get good mods running or even walking. That would give them a +2 or +3 on the indirect shots...

If I recall correctly,  there's an absolutely crap mechwarrior in a Firestarter that really shouldn't do anything other than park on something tall and preferably in cover and direct LRM fire until he dies.

Infernos, vees like infernos.  I have a ton on my modded wolvie and javelin.  Thinking of replacing the single ton in the stock -6m as well.  Any thoughts on all the infernos?

In Elsa's opinion, best course of action would likely be to create an ad hoc task group with our fastest jumpers (~3 units), who's sole responsibility is to swing VERY wide around the board and hit the OPFOR base of fire group; kill the LRM carriers ASAP, and exfil.  Let the SRM carrier and (potential) Crud sit there and deal with the woods; x2 LRM-10s, even with good to-hit rolls, frankly doesn't matter against the potential of 180 LRMs/turn.  Rest of the force doesn't necessarily move into LRM range until the cavalry is ready to hit the LRM carriers.  It'd take timing and discipline to NOT just "walk forward and shoot guns", but that's probably the least bad way to do it.

It also provides the *chance* of sandwiching the main OPFOR body between our main force and our cavalry force, which is likely worth a roll of the dice.

So we should use our ASFs now, before they can be shot at.

The LRM/SRM carrier only has like 2 3 tons of armor. You are almost as likely to kill it with damage as crit it out with infernos.

Rob will generate our scenario based on MegaMek's. He will try to match the MM map with standard mapsheets and generate some additional victory conditions for both sides as well as tweaking the opfor with SPAs and such. I would expect rhe 1/3 Crusader, 1/4 Firestarter, 2/4 Striker, and 2/4 Ostroc to all be officers with my money on the Crusader or Striker as the commander. Knowing Rob, the Crusader will have Jumping Jack, Weapon Spec: LRM-10, and Oblique Attacker. The Striker will probably be a Melee Master, Melee Specialist and have Natural Grace.  8)

[Snarking at the GM couldn't hurt right?]

I haven't used it or gone more in depth so I'm just curious how much it keeps tracks of.

Nah.  Although the LRM carriers will all have Melee Master.

Pretty much everything. If you aren't careful on setup, it will run maintenance checks on each component in your mech each week.
We are running the games IRL and then Rob is just telling MM how the game went. We are tracking the maintenance at a much lower detail level than MM.

Reaper is called up for this mission, but I will not be at the Dec 9 game as posted in the RSVP thread. My lance be can used. I can send pdf's of recorded sheets with pilot info and quirks to someone to print out.
