Because I captured the Highlander Pilot, I get to generate a Star Leage Cache Mission for my Lance.
First I have to choose a single Mech from my Lance to go on the Mission.
The Star League Cache Missions are 3-on-1, not including the Tech's Mech. OPFOR Lance units are always the same weight as the Player unit. The OPFOR skills are fixed (ie, it'll always be X/X no matter the weight class). SPAs and Edge are ALWAYS present on one OPFOR unit, and never on the other two.
MegaMech generates a random Tech instead of letting you assign one. In the case of SL Caches, how we're going to do is is that you have to choose one of your Techs. A Green Tech is a (5/6) skill rating. For each skill level below Green, subtract 1 from one of those ratings. So a Regular Tech could be a (5/5) or a (4/6). A Veteran Tech could be a (3/6), for example. If a Tech has MechWarrior-classed skills on their record sheet, then they use those instead.
There is a percentage chance that a single custom Mech will be pulled if the player's mech is a custom unit. The chance is equal to the number of custom Mechs in the target player's Lance (ie, have 3 custom Mechs, there's a 75% chance of the OPFOR being custom; in MM, that pulls from any Mechs tagged as custom in MML, in the case of this campaign, I'd generate a custom Mech for the OPFOR scaled to how min-maxed your Lance's custom Mechs are).
Finally, there is no Contract Breach if you refuse an Star Leage Cache mission.
BRB, off to fight with MekHQ to force-generate a mission. The current build doesn't let you generate missions by hand, so I have to start a campaign, load Freya Lance into it, and literally just advance time until a Cache Mission comes up so I can generate conditions and so forth.EDIT:
Source PostWhenever you play an "extended" solo mission where you only get to deploy a single Unit (SL Cache 1 or 2, Officer Duel, Ace Duel, Ambush 1, Extended Recon, Civilian Help, Prison Break, or Allied Traitors), IF - IF - IF you win, you automatically salvage the entire battlefield unless the random conditions for the scenario say otherwise. That means you get all downed Mechs and all downed pilots, even if they didn't eject
