I can supply two Pixies, Wolverine, a Rifleman and the Orions.  Depending on who runs OpFor I can supply a second Rifleman as well.

As it sounds like Rob is running OpFor, the second Rifleman is avaiable for use, but Rob must control the mini (its one of my former PC rides)

I added a searchlight to my Gladiator during last customization (haven't updated load out in custom thread yet). I also thought that the Shadow Hawk also had a "fluff" searchlight.

You are correct.  Both the Shad and Griffin have a searchlight on top of their heads.

The Locust has a searchlight as well (one tries to find Cassie Suthorn with it in one of the Victor Milan novels).  No, I don't know where it actually is.  IMO it it's supposed to be some of all those extra arm "gun barrels".  The thingie over top of the Vulcan's head is a searchlight.  The Crusader has one has well, since there's no possible weapon mounting there:

The Thunderbolt SORT of has one.  There's one in the Dougram art; a lens in the CT:

And Mauve Wolf activates her Thunderbolt's searchlight in the novel "Wolf Pack".  However, like 10 pages later, she laments that her Thud doesn't have a searchlight.  I'm going to say "no" on the Thud, because of the fluff conflict and because I can't find any BATTLETECH-specific art of the Thud that has that CT lens as an actual lens.  It's always painted red or brown, instead.

Finally, in theory, you can custom-build hand-held weapons that are *only* a searchlight.
How would one go about this (is there a tech roll invoved, are searchlights low enough tech to be procured locally? etc.)? Can the unit build X to have on hand for scenarios with light?

Bump on the what scenario features are rerollable question. We got into the searchlight question and bypassed the rerolls.
I assume that map type Ally-Rescue is fixed, but is terrain Light Urban?
Ideally, I would like to get as little cover as possible to allow the player force's PPCs and LRMs to inflict max damage.

My PC has night vision btw. I think the unseen Shadow Hawk may have a searchlight as well, not sure.

Same as it has since I updated the GM readiness thread...

Quote
Lance has a fully operational Catapult that will be slotted in on 10/16/3045, and we'll be returning the Orion to the Unit Reserve. Elena Vann will pilot the Catapult.

Lance as of 10/16:
Mech                   BV   Model
Catapult           1764   CPLT-C1-XX
Wolverine II      1301   WVR-7H
Shadow Hawk   1295   SHD-2D-X
Catapult           1399   CPLT-C1

Now have a Regular pilot in the Wolverine II instead of the noob as well.

Before I do that:  the ally rescue map?  It's guaranteed to have an urban map in the middle.  What can change is the terrain AROUND that middle map.

Okay, I have nodesire to reroll anything else. So let's reroll this until we get the least woods/hills/buildings for cover.
With my force's ERPPCs and LRMs, Reaper's LRMs and PPCs, and Bright Lance's LRMs and PPCs, I would like to leave the OpFor as little cover as possible so we can reach out and touch them.
