Doesn't look anywhere near what the picture made it look.

Ok, so looking at BSP costs and available equipment it looks like the following:

Long Tom (2 shots) 12 points (6 each)
Marksman [Sniper] (s shots) 8 points (4 each)
2 Stingrays (2 heavy air cover sorties each) 8 points (2 each)
1 Transit (2 light air cover sorties) 2 points (1 each)

Total: 30 BSP

Does that look reasonable to folks?

Pc in this are restricted to 10 points worth

Would recommend 2 light cover 1 heavy cover 1 longtom or 2 light cover 2 heavy cover 1 thumper

Option A:
1x Long Tom (6)
2x LAC (2x1)
1x HAC (2)

Option B:
2x Heavy Bombing (2x4)
2x LAC (2x1)

Option C:
1x Strafe (5)
1x Sniper (4)
1x LAC (1)

Note that we only have a Long Tom (veteran) and a Marksman (Sniper/Regular) for artillery, so arty support will be 6/4 points.

Option D would be
2x LAC (2x1)
2x Striker (2x4)

Any strong reason not to go with this one?

Strikes are okay, but single target.
Strafe is a 5 hex row, letting you multiple targets for 3x5 each and bombing is an AE attack that can hit multiple units in the hex for 3/6x5. Overall, strikes underperform for their cost.

I like the look of Option B, since we've been told that our off-board artillery can be targeted. Pretty sure they can't target it if we're not using it.

I'm almost certainly out - I'll be in Lexington, Louisville and Versailles KY for work next week.

True, but it is also there to be used. We shouldn't be so risk averse that we don't use our assets.

How are the minis people were painting coming along? I'll update the minis list Wednesday to reflect commitments.

Wow, just realized i got everything done I had committed to:

Quote
   Already painted:
Warhammer - dark green
Rifleman - dark green
Griffin - olive drab

In progress:
Stinger
Stinger
LRM carrier
Zhukov
Harasser
Harasser

Pegasus

All done, other than finishing up bases. Additionally, I've got a camo Locust ready to go. Not going to commit to any more new paint at this point.

My mechs are dark green and the vehicles are plains camo.

Looks like the current list is as follows:

Mechs
Warhammer - Bryan
Wolverine - Steve
Griffin - Bryan
Griffin - Brandon/Paul
Spider - Paul
Locust - Bryan
Locust - Steve
Stinger - Bryan
Stinger - Bryan
Rifleman - Bryan
Bombardier - Paul

Vehicles
LRM Carrier - Bryan/Jon
Zhukov - Bryan
Zhukov - Need proxy
Zhukov - Need proxy
Pegasus - Bryan/Jon
Pegasus - Bryan/Jon
Harasser - Bryan
Harasser - Bryan
Harasser - Steve
Harasser - Steve
Harasser - Steve/Jon (Proxy)
Harasser - Steve/Jon (Proxy)

I can bring my BD Demolisher to proxy for a Zhukov, or any other painted double-barreled turret tracked vehicles will do.  :) I would have bought two of them at IWM, but there was only the single body in the bin.

And looks like Paul has all the sheets printed already.  (^_^)b
