One other note, I may need to have someone run my lance for part or all of the time on the 10th. It’s the opening weekend of the State soccer tournament and it’s very likely my son will be playing in it.

If needed, I will run it for you. Just leave instructions on how you will like me to play and I will follow them to the letter.

I have 1 unit my javelin I can load with inferno the rest are mid range hole punches or brawlers

I do have the treb with its 1 15 rack which has smoke or standard

Smoke might be useful as a secondary way to try and get around which I'm sure  crusher may have

Map, not map size. We want to keep the mountainous terrain.
Dunedain would have been in the list but his commander is out for a while.
I should note that while my commander would still have 2 pilot hits, I could still bring him, or field 4 fresh pilots under Ramierez. Also, Dunedain lance has three mechs with 2xSRM-4 with infernos.

Rob, please reroll map.

Terrain: Mountains (no, I didn't roll this, just a reminder)
Map: Mountain-High

0 rerolls remaining.

I'll generate the full scenario later today.

Mountain-High on an 18x50 map size ought to be good. I sense much large mountain in our future.

Final Scenario

NORTH

SOUTH

Maps
Grasslands 2
Large Mountain 1
Desert 2

Added Water hexes are Depth 1.  Also, did anyone else realize that CGL created a mapsheet where the water doesn't line up with other mapsheets?

Deployment
OPFOR Deploy: Deploy all non-hover, non-Mech units on the central mapsheet.
OPFOR Reserve Deploy: All Mech units must select either the east or west side of the central mapsheet. They enter from that side on their initiative count.  All hover units enter on the opposite side (from the Mechs) of the central mapsheet during their initiative count.
PC Deployment: Enter along the South Edge of the mapsheet on your initiative count.
PC Reinforcement Deploy: Enters from the Southern, Eastern, or Wetern Half Board Edge (anywhere) of the southernmost mapsheet as per initiative order (units may choose to use Jump MP to enter map).

Environmental Effects:
Hidden: Revealed during gameplay

Light Gale: Only affects conventional infantry units, including mech/Vehicle crews.  These units suffer -1 MP, to a minimum of 0.  A unit reduced to 0 MP can either move OR shoot in a turn.

Patchy EM Interference:  There are 7 hexes (drifting from northwest to southeast at a rate of 3 hexes/turn) of EM interference on the board, starting 1d6 hexes along their hexrow of travel.  Any shots through or out of these hexes incur a +2 penalty to hit and a -2 on cluster rolls.  Note that firing at a target which is inside an EM hex incurs no penalty.  If a hex exits the board, it resets onto the hexrow from whence it started that pass, and then deploys 1d6 hexes directly north of that point.
Starting hexes (Grassland 2): 1103
Starting hexes (Lg Mtn): 1517, 0911, 1208, 0705, 1204, 1503

Battlefield Support
Rangers may choose up to 12 BSP worth of support.

Draconis forces receive an allowance of 100% of the Ranger choices (there is a BSP floor they will not go below).  Draconis Forces have moved significant air assets into the area, and will receive at least 1 randomized air attack choices and at least 1 randomized air defense choice for no cost.  Draconis Forces may only select airborne BSP options.
-Note that OPFOR air support can target PC Battlefield artillery support.  This can be countered by Air Cover as per normal.  The specific artillery vehicle targeted will be randomized.

PCs Victory Conditions:
1) Move at least 8 Mechs off the northern board edge
2) Move at least 12 Mechs off the northern board edge
3) Destroy or cripple at least 12 vehicle units
4) Destroy or cripple all enemy Mech units
EITHER CONDITIONS 1 or 2 MUST BE MET IN FULL FOR SCENARIO VICTORY

OPFOR Victory Conditions:
1) Destroy or cripple at least 6 PC units
2) Destroy at least one Lance Leader's Mech
3) Prevent more than 7 PC Mechs from exiting the north board edge
4) Preserve at least 2 Mechs and 12 vehicle units from the crippled or destroyed state

***EXTING THE BATTLEFIELD***
Exiting the battlefield requires a unit to remain stationary at the board edge for 1 turn.  Only a single spent MP is required to move offboard (ie, the environments MP penalties doesn't apply; or, more specifically, the Minimum Movement rule overrides it).

***Draconis Combine MechWarriors will fire on ejected MechWarriors whenever possible.  Note this does not apply to vehicle crews.***

Looks like a winner for us. If they deploy in the mountain valley, most of our mechs jump and we just bypass them for the get across the board VC. Same if they deploy primarily on the mountain. They have to split their forces, allowing us to divide and conquer. Their most dangerous deployment is probably on the mountain itself with the longest range units and then forward deploying the meatshield and trying to bring on the reserve units in inconvenient locations.

Hell, since it doesn't seem I'm going to get called in as a reinforcement group, I'll even spot you guys the strategy I plan to run the OPFOR with.

For deployed lances, what happens if a designated lance can't field a full lance - deploy short, get replaced...?
